Hello:
I am the parent of a Grade 2 student and have taken over the role of the
school's World Language Program. I am writing let you know about part-time
teaching opportunities at Morningside Elementary School in Salt Lake County'
s Granite School District. You are receiving this email because you are a
current teacher or have expressed interest in the past in our program.
Morningside is a unique elementary school within the Granite School District
as it home to a traditional elementary school, the Districts magnet gifted
program, and a French Dual Immersion Program. The World Language Program is
an extracurricular enrichment program that gives interested elementary
students an introduction to cultures and languages around the world.
Developed at Morningside several years ago, the program is coordinated by
the Parent Teacher Association and the school principal.
We are currently looking to hire (hourly wage TBD) part-time teachers (
Chinese, Spanish, French) for the 2013-2014 school year. Teachers will
provide instruction in beginning and basic intermediate language to
elementary students (grades 1-6) from October through April. Classes will
be held from 8-9am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The program is
extracurricular so there are no tests or grades given; classes do put
together and perform an end of school presentation for parents one evening
in the spring.

and hires made before school starts in August.
