been there before. We would greately appreciate if you are kind enough to
share any info you may have regarding some the basics a new arriver always
wants to know.
(1) How is the general safty condition in the city? What are the good areas
and bad areas?
(2) How is the public transportation? Is it possible to handle daily life
without a car?
(3) How can she quickly find an appropriate apartment? She wants a place near

public transportation is ok.. sky train is quite convience.. you can go to UBC
by public transportation everyday and it is cheaper also if you are a student
holding U-pass

I think depends on which area you want to live.. but generally speaking, quite
easy to find an apartment. but for your $500 budget, you can only share with
others in one apartment.. normally 1 bed room apartment here is around 600-750
