the hardship for any field is roughly the same.
Biology and health do need you know more than biology. You should know
computer science and chemistry or physics sometime. However, this is exactly
the same situation for other field. I had a friend in economics at Oxford,
he learned a little bit biology for his project. Isn't it funny?
Those who feel that biology is so hard are not physicist, or are not PHD, PD
or professor. At least not familiar with science.
I am from NIH. I am also good at arts and literature. I really do not
understand why LZ said "心理不平衡", hehe :) As you know, what you are doing
is to make people living fine! BTW, your pay is pretty good, compared with
scientists in other field. That's why I meet lots of people from other field
who is working on biology and health here. Of course, one of my good
friends, who is working in finance, makes at least 4 times of money than me.
But she has no chance to leave her name on any top journal. So we just have
different choice of our lives giving money and name and etc are so
meaningless.
So I think all people are equal at the following point:
Whether you are a tree or grass, you have your joy and hardship. The only
difference is: Yours is different from mine. But there is no sense to
compare yours with mine. In a large sense, we are fresh, we are dust, we are
the same.
So what do you say?
(I am pretty busy. But I feel I should say something for all biology guys
and girls who is still working on their projects now :)
