事情起因于一个英语单词 , EMPOWER。全组会上不知怎的提到这个词。我说不明白。一
小白同事立即接茬说，你们中国政府控制老百姓，当然不会让你们 EMPOWER。
会后老板私下对我讲，他很不满组里同事（除了老板和我，还有一个老印，都是老美）
的言行。之前也让他（欧洲人）受到过伤害。他要教训一下那个小白。之后老板给全组
发信，向我道歉小白的言行，并不指明地批了小白。小白收信后很不安，跑来向我道歉
。 说实在的，我和这小白关系还不错。于是安慰了他几句，说知道他不是有意冒犯。
顺便给他洗了洗脑，告诉他不要偏听偏信美国媒体，因为有很多偏见。 之后小白给老
板回信，讲我并没有对他的言行有意见。
下班前，老板专门跑到我着，让我给全组有个明确表态。
我是左右为难。一方面，小白并无大错。而且，老板和全组人的关系很僵。另一方面，
老板是个小心眼的人，得罪他恐怕以后日子不好过。
大家出出主意，该怎么表态 而不得罪双方 （全组其他同事 VS 老板） | i****a

you can say you felt unease but after the small white apologized to you
and explained himself blah blah blah, you felt better, and you
understood he did not intent to, and did not realize what he said was
offensive
