Job Summary
The Belfer Institute is dedicated to the discovery of cancer genes
essential for tumor maintenance, and translating basic discoveries
into new effective therapies for cancer. The integration of basic
research and drug discovery programs at the Belfer Institute provides

We are seeking a well-organized, self-motivated professional with
experience in cell culture, cell-based assays, as well as standard
molecular biology techniques. Responsibilities of the position
include utilizing molecular, cell-based and mouse oncology models to
investigate mechanisms of tumorigenesis and for novel drug target
validation.
Job Qualifications
BS/BA with 2+ years experience in an academic and/or
pharmaceutical/biotech environment or a master's degree in biological
sciences.
The successful candidate should be a professional completing specific
tasks aligned with the team goals and demonstrating solid practical
experience using molecular biology, cell biology and/or protein
analysis techniques (i.e. Q-PCR, DNA cloning, RNAi techniques, viral
transduction, cell-based assay development, immunoprecipitation,
Western, ELISA and high content biology). Experience with mammalian
tissue culture is required, while experience working with mouse models
is a plus.
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, reliable, well
organized and a committed team player with excellent communications
skills who will work independently on multiple tasks and projects and
develop solutions to basic technical problems.
