Max out $16500 matched by company:
1500*100%+1500*50%+7500*33%+6000*10%= $5325
Not as good as that 1:1 match with salary over $100k.
The best 401 match I see is my friend 2:1 match with up to 8% of salary.

不过话说回来公司match多的话，提前拿出来，去掉税和罚款也是有的赚。

it is your money (rather than pensions or SS)? You can put it into saving
account if you want. Even if you put all in to the index funds (401K
generally don't allow you to invest a major portion into individual
stocks, unless you find ways to do so), can the index fund bankrupt? The
US economy can collapse, the "relative" wealth still matters. Wipe five
zero out of everyone's wealth, Bill Gates is still the riches American and
enjoy the same lifestyle.

very slow, only top profs and management make 200K. I used to work in one
of these places. Now I make a lot more. but my new company doesnt match
401k.
what industry are you in? it is hard to imagine a company give 7.5% each
year and still in business.
