protected status. People with certain characteristics they cannot change—
like skin color or gender—are protected against discrimination and
harassment based on those characteristics. If the teasing is pervasive,
focuses on protected characteristics, and makes things difficult for the
target of the teasing, it certainly could be harassment. |
