if outdoor, I am afraid the ice may not be thick enough in our area.
if indoor, where is a reasonably-priced ice rink? By reasonably-priced, I
mean comparable to other areas of the country. By comparable, I mean within
20%.

发帖数: 367 | 5 OUTDOOR的话就派个走路一步一个脚印又不怕冷的打头阵，只要先锋能安全到达河中
心，其他人就没事。当然还要有人放哨，因为这里很多的天然水域很可能不让滑冰。
INDOOR的话，各冰场价钱差不了多少。一般$6-8门票，如果租冰鞋再加$3-5。

多人。但天白说还有一个冰场是在一个体育馆里，冰场旁边还有游泳池，跑步机等
等。听着也很不错。至于免费滑冰的地方，我还真不知道DC附近有没有。
另外今天参加马里兰的HIKING，看见两个老美拿着长木杆在河边，一问才知道是在
测冰层厚度。看来这里是可以在有些河里滑冰的。当然今天的冰层还有点薄。

someone would like to try, I'd suggest follow the ice-fishing folks. If
they can drill a hole in the middle of a river and sit there with a fishing
pole for a substantially protracted period of time, then it is safe to give
it a shot.
Anyway, where is 天白??? We miss him for organizing our next skate
extravaganza.

我从纽约州北部一路开过来，发现纽约州中部以北有一半的河流被冻住了。到了NJ，没
看到被冻住的。
纽约中部温度基本在零下摄氏10度左右。（大概华氏15度）
