发帖数: 7272 | 4 知道这个冰场有些年了。第一次进去还是因为和爱人在旁边的网球场打完网球去买冰激
凌。那时候，我们都还比较清闲。中午有时候就相约到哪里抡几下拍子。打完球可以到
冰场里吃冰激凌或者到饱肚脐吃chicken caesar wrap，喝北冰洋橘子汽水。那汽水的
味道可以一下子把你带到30年前的北京。
忽然就过了这些年。中午打网球已经不敢奢求了。女儿也到了可以滑冰的年纪。家门口
的cabin john ice rink自然成了首选。离家近嘛。
这个冰场实际上有3块冰场。两块大的。一块叫NHL，自然是冰球场。另一块叫OLY，应
该是奥林匹克吧。在OLY上方有彩灯，晚场的时候红的蓝的，星星点点。
那块小冰场是块练习场。不知道有没有正式的名字。每周六早上的几节kid skating课
就是在这块场地上教的。它在NHL的后面，如果不绕过NHL，你根本不会注意到它。从门
口到这里要走100多米。穿上冰鞋再走。这段距离就会显得格外的长。上次，因为我们
去晚了，大家就看见一个大壮抱着一个小女孩在NHL冰场边翻蹄亮掌。

Public Ice
Follow the rules!
Don't skate against the flow. Don't cut across the coned section. Don't do
knee slides, or crack the whip. Don't shoot pucks, or small children. Don't

我家娃学了3年吧，现在因为不方便停了。
滑冰大概4岁以上就能开始，每周上一次课(group lesson)就够了,然后看孩子喜欢不喜
欢再继续。男娃一般是往hocky的方向走，女娃是花滑，不过照我看开始的时候都一样。
鞋的问题， 我个人觉得刚开始的时候没必要买冰鞋。 很多ice rink都有租，那个鞋通
常是比上不足，比下有余。 比如我们常去的那家，冰鞋上面部分是有点像旱冰鞋那种
，比较厚，小娃穿比较舒服，当然缺点是鞋帮比较短，感觉support不是很够，但开始
的时候反正对鞋的要求不高，也没关系。而且小娃的脚长得快，买便宜的质量还不如租
的，买贵的又舍不得。我们老大是学了一年以后到了free style 3左右才在老师的建议
下买的鞋。 对了娃比较小比如5，6岁的，我觉得要买鞋也是买这种长得有点像旱冰鞋的比
较好，方便穿，也比较轻。
买鞋我建议有条件还是在local. 冰鞋这个东西要试的，而且具体做工，padding对穿着
的舒适度影响也挺大，不同设计的鞋娃穿合适的鞋号也不一定一样。 如果实在希望在

suggests the skating rink did something wrong. The accident happened in its
facility, but this in itself does not make the skating rink liable. Skating
is an inherenlty risky sport. Your injury seems to be one that is
forseeable. The skating rink has a good assumption of risk defense.
What about the guy who caused your injury? Was he/she drunk? Doing something
extraordinarily risky? Maybe you have a claim against the skating r |

這位同胞帶老婆孩子和岳父母去一家白人開的靶場練槍，與老婆說了句中文被白垃圾店
員聽到，白垃圾態度惡劣教訓顧客，主管還給店員幫腔。他家店門上貼著一條告示“本
店內不准講外語，因為我們有聽不懂，誰知道你們是不是再搞非法交易”。

Yesterday I took my in laws to Rink's Gun & Sport. I want to introduce
shooting this very American sport to them.
I walked in and ask to use the range, the front cash register clerk pointed
me to a register near the range door.
There the clerk asked me if I want to use the range and I answered yes.
I took out my wallet and ready to pay, my wife walked in with my kids and

年冬天只有冰上课
: 加州的华人就更不行了。当年我去洛杉矶的rinks，可以说没见过大陆过来的，
台湾、
: 香港倒是有。
: 旱冰是个好例子。旱冰便宜，符合大陆的收入水准。
: 现在大陆滑冰的小朋友多了，正说明这个改变是由收入水平提高造成的。但整体
来说，
: 大陆还是比墨西哥要贫穷很多，所以体育训练方面，普通人还是不如人家。

就在cambridge，不过华人小娃去的不多，感觉很多东欧小娃都在上；然后brighton就
几个ice rink，有boston skating club 在brighton还有一个public rink，离boston
skating club挺近的，我去看过，里面华人非常多，不知道是不是前阵子冬季奥运会搞
的。museum of fine art还有小娃的艺术课，我看过，好多都是周中的课，对于双职工
貌似不是特别现实 |
