发帖数: 300 | 2 MPEG-7 is a standard to describe the multimedia object. it can't segment and
cut the video object. MPEG-4 support video object coding and multiplexing, bit
it can't segment and cut video object from captureed video neither. There is
no best solution segmentation and cut algorithms for real video. Most
algorithms are only applied to simple video. It is still a challenging
research topic.

the subject segment is somewhat a legend as I think.
unless the studios helps to do some blue screen shot.
so it is easy to get the main charactor.

发帖数: 474 | 5 if you ask the industry... They use the blue screen. Just treat any thing as
the background if they are blue... so if you are in a blue T-shirt or with a
blue tie when you are interviewed by some TV show.... you could get some
trouble.
If you want to seperate some complex scenes.. That is not easy. still a
research object. one paper of this year's SIGGRAPH, from U of WA and Microsoft
titled Video Matting of complex scenes coudl give you soem ideas
