Normally, I have something in my mind before the trade.

For instance, Chinese Solar stocks went down quite a bit yesterday, I felt
we would have a dead cat bounce today.
The problem is: your guess may not be correct all the time, normally, I take
some position first,
let me use my trade for today's as example.
6/9/2011 9:52:46 AM ET YGE BUY 8000 YGE @ $7.8398 Executed
I bought 8000 shares of YGE at 7.84. I had a mental stop loss at 7.75 at
that time.
The stock started to move up, later on, I made the second purchase(I skipped all the small executed order)
6/9/2011 10:59:24 AM ET YGE BUY 5500 YGE @ $7.9199 Executed
I had a mental stop loss at 7.80 when I had the second purchase.
After the stock failed to break 8, I sold everything at 7.97.
The important point: 1) Stop loss every time I made the purchase
2) Average up
3) Watch for the volumn, You want to trade high volumn stock, so you have time to get out. |
