发帖数: 127 | 9 准备OCT 2011考FE，打了无数电话，也上了远近很多州的Board网站，有的说的很不详
细，有的只是口头答复，并没有文件证实。现把我得到的信息跟大家共享一下。
打电话给NCEES （877-536-7729），明确答复说不需任何pre-approval的州有两个
UTAH MICHIGAN
问了NCEES关于这两个州的EIT License，说这两个州不issue EIT license，如果你将
来在任何州考PE，NCEES有义务通知你要考试的州Board，证明你已通过FE。此通知好像
是免费，未细问。
如果你和我一样，在美国有ABET Accredited Ph.D in Engineering,但是本科硕士是在
国内上的，你还可以选择：
ARIZONA
NORTH CAROLINA （但是考PE必须得在拿到你那个美国ABET Accredited Program学位之
后四年）
其他我打电话问过的，一定要Education Evaluation的州：
COLORADO
WYOMING
SOUTH DAKOTA

a ABET accredited school.
NC, SC: No evaluation requiredas long as you have an advanced degree from
a ABET accredited school. However, they would take your advanced degree as
equivalent to a BSCE, so you would need four years experience after that.
MD: No evaluation required. One of my friend just got his PE
transferred to MD from OH with about 3 years experience |

mere proof that it's distinguishable from MD is not enough.
MD program is only 1 year longer and is not very hard to get in. There are
170+ ABA accredited law school and 140+ accredited medical school. If we
narrow the scope to only the top 100 law schools and med schools, I don't see
how med school is harder to get in than law school.

第二天收到一个邮件 说：

CP 的住院医生才需考CP的board。
fellowship的定义很广，可指resident后的专科培训(accredited and certified),临
床专科培训（certified but not accredited),或科研博士后培训。在这里指director
-track的博士后培训。我知道有（至少一个）中国人在美国拿化学PhD后，在公司工作
数年，再参加这种fellowship，最后在某大医院做临床化学的负责人。希望他（们）能

What does it mean to be a “displaced” (“orphaned”) resident? And will I
become a “displaced” resident if my program is reduced?
A “displaced resident” is defined as a resident who was training at a
hospital up to the point that the program completely closed. Federal money
