In a sense, as I have discussed with a friend before, it is a matter of
affordability.
我过去常提起，包括现在可能也还是这样的观点，就是解构这个方向，以及它所意指的
自由平等等概念，可能不是FREE的，免费的，和“绝对”好的。
从一个角度来讲，平权确实是一个EXPENSIVE的措施，我是不否认这点的---有限的社会
资源被更多的人和社区有了ACCESSIBILITY，有了分享的可能。如果说某些权益，例如
说婚姻所携带的各项权益，原本是被某一小群人所独享，仿佛一个“富人区”，那么整
体的社会发展水平，尤其是基于人类不断开发自然资源的能力的提高，这个富人区的圈
子是可以AFFORD TO EXPAND，以至于包括进来更多的社会成员；我开个玩笑说，如果将
来这个圈子弄得更大，甚至可以将猫和狗都包括进来，提出很多有关它们的权益保障。
就如同FALLCOMING提到说HISTORIC，我感觉这就是HISTORIC所表现的一方面，平权运动 |

最近做了髋关节手术，上海的朋友打电话来慰问时，顺便问了手术费用。因为有医疗保
险，自己只付200美金。朋友一听惊叹万分：“美国医疗保险真好！”但事实上，医疗
保险是美国的一大社会问题。
毫无疑问，美国的医疗技术和设施绝对是全球一流。医院的接待大厅像宾馆的大堂——
水晶大吊灯熠熠闪光，清新的鲜花赏心悦目。病人、家属等候室灯光柔和、沙发座椅舒
适，大屏幕电视机、休闲杂志、咖啡、茶水一应俱全。传统的双人病房也逐渐转向单人
和家庭式病房。新建的病房室内装潢还请了设计师来精心布置。要不是有那些医疗设备
，真还看不出是病房。遗憾的是，并不是所有的美国人都能享受如此优越的医疗条件。
美国的医疗保险和医药费用是争论了几十年而毫无有效措施的社会大问题。据官方统计
资料，2013年将近200万美国人因付不起医药费而申请破产。沉重的医药费是申请个人
