directed
towards applied math, where things are mostly covered in
n-dimensional
Euclidean space. Therefore, some interesting things are left
out.
For example, the concept of group and field, abstract vector
space, linear functional etc.
If you want to know a little bit more than Euclidean space,
I would recommand
2 other books:
1) Paul Halmos: Finite Dimensional Vector Space
2) Morton Curtis: Abstract Linear Algebra

从 Spatial 的角度看这个 “baby algebra”：这 “baby algebra” 基本不跟解析几何
有多少联系，所以这个 “baby algebra” 其实不是 spatial 的。
从 Formal 的角度看这个 “baby algebra”：这 “baby algebra” 基本上也不太靠
算术的各种 property，而 property 是数学里从算术（Concrete）走向代数（Formal）
的第一步。所以这个 “baby algebra” 开起来 Formal 的成分也不是很多。更有点像是
个 Pattern Matching 我觉得。
所以从这个角度看，超前 Algebra 可能是一件好事，但是超前时陷在 “baby algebra”
太久，就不太好说。。。这就好比千里跃进大别山，但半路上千军万马栽阴沟。。。
所以我怀疑教育界一直口口相传的，不要太早上 Algebra，更可能是指 “baby
algebra”。 |

我在去年年底时，跟娃大概过了一下 Algebra I 那本书。从知识的角度，
应该足够她慢慢琢磨自学计算题十（algebra 阶段）了。
但实际上，今年四月份那场韩战加板门店停火协议以后，我们才开始尝试
计算题八。而且开始时在计算题八（pre-algebra 阶段）上，她只能自学
前十题，基本从第十五题开始，她需要非常多的 guidance。
一直到最近，她才能慢慢自学整个计算题八，现在基本不太需要 guidance。
（除了每天盯着提醒小时数做到没，大多数普通 teen 的通病，客观规律）。
但是计算题十还是不行，即使是计算题十的前十题里，一旦出现 algebra
word problem 或 geometry word problem，她基本都需要非常多的
guidance。（这也是娃要求把计算题十拖后到计算题八结束以后再说的原因）。
从实战效率角度而言，很多 pre-algebra 的具体解题方法思路，在 Algebra
阶段会被扔掉。所以一旦上 algebra 以后，应该快速通过 pre-algebra
