天感觉不错，人都很热情，第二天非常不professhional，每一个人都显得懒散，有一
个教授跟我面谈居然当面狂打哈欠，最后offer给了一个自己系尚未毕业的白人学生，
明显暗箱操作，那个学生当时估计只有一片第二作者的journal论文，已经被内定为接
班人了，一年以后该系的系主任也跳槽了，去了个三四流学校再做系主任 |

If I remember correctly, the average faculty salary of top LACs (Amherst,
Swarthmore, Williams) is higher than that of ivies.
Do underestimate LACs, You may want to have a look of their endowments and
alumni lists.

的。国内学校牌子比这里重要。专业排名没有学校名气好用，作为敲门砖。
这里藤校本科，研究生去Amherst念polymer，UCF念光学，MSU念教育，TXTech念石
油，VATech念power,Orst念analog，还是有不少人，也能被各自领域的人认可。国内就
大不一样了。 |

membership就像层窗户纸，进去了不觉得有什么特别，进不去的（比如NCSU，UM
Amherst，还有几年前的Boston U）抢破头的想往里挤。
