Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
"It is commonly inferred from this passage, that Paul alludes here to those
philosophers, who assumed to themselves in a peculiar manner the reputation

Though this passage is variously explained, yet the following appears to me

Some noticable passages:
Christianity has taught monotheism from its foundation, the belief in the
existence of one God. Mormonism believes in the existence of a plurality of
gods. According to Mormonism, there are an infinite number of planets like
earth in the universe, each with their god or gods who were once men who
have evolved into godhood. Mormon theologian and Apostle Bruce McConkie
states, "[A] plurality of gods exist . . . there i...

His Holiness John Paul II, Bishop of Rome and Pope of the Catholic Church,
and His Holiness Mar Dinkha IV, Catholicos-Patriarch of the Assyrian Church
of the East, give thanks to God who has prompted them to this new brotherly
meeting.
Both of them consider this meeting as a basic step on the way towards the
full communion to be restored between their Churches. They can indeed, from
now on, proclaim together before the world their common faith in the mystery
of the Incarnation.

‘Are Mormons Christian?’
http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/are-mormons-christian/2012/
(Robert L. Millet is a professor of religious education at Brigham Young
University.)
In the present political climate, the question of whether Mormons are
Christians has surfaced again and again. I will leave the issue of whether
21st century America is ready for a Mormon chief executive to pundits,
pollsters, and, of course, voters. But the underlying question is an
important one, a matter whose implicatio...

Eastern Orthodox)

6 The Locusts of the Abyss
(Revelation 9:7-11)
7 The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they
wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8
Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.
9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their
wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into
battle. 10 They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails
they ha...

First, The regenerating work of the Spirit is compared to water....
(verse 8)
Secondly, It is compared to wind: The wind bloweth where it listeth, so is
every one that is born of the Spirit, The same word (pneuma) signifies both
the wind and the Spirit. The Spirit came upon the apostles in a rushing
mighty wind (Acts ii. 2), his strong influences on the hearts of sinners are
compared to the breathing of the wind (Ezek. xxxvii. 9), and his sweet

For Mormons, there need not be a conflict between devotion to one’s faith
and meaningful participation in modern society. Faithful Latter-day Saints
are currently engaged in education, science, business, the arts and
political life. In a pluralistic world, modern sensibilities tend to
compartmentalize spheres of human activity. But Mormon thought encourages
integration. Individual character, for example, should not be divorced from
public character. Elder Richard G. Scott of the Quorum of the Tw...

While the ultimate aims of religious and secular life do not always align,
Mormons “follow the admonition of Paul” by seeking after anything that is
“virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy,” whatever the source
may be.Embracing a world full of truth and meaning, Latter-day Saints
aspire to heed the call of Joseph Smith to “gather all the good and true
principles in the world and treasure them up.” President Boyd K. Packer of
