The Wall Street Journal profiles Apple's "go-slow" approach to mobile
payments. In June, Apple announced the inclusion of a feature called
Passbook to iOS 6. Passbook allows users to keep loyalty cards, tickets and
coupons in one central app. Passbook, however, does not offer a full
payment system which has been a rumored area of research for Apple.

TomTom，其它还包括OpenStreetMap等。
TomTom五年前拼血本2.9b Euro买下Tele Atlas，成为当时唯一自己拥有地图数据的导
航产品公司。原本TomTom最初出价2b Euro已经被TA董事会接受，谁知Garmin突然横插
一杠，加价竞标，逼得TomTom只好下血本。Garmin后来和Nokia达成数据使用期到2015
年的协议，退出竞争。
除了Tele Atals，当时业内另一大地图数据公司Navteq，几乎就在同一时期刚刚被
Nokia以8.1b US$收购。这也是为什么Garmin当时一边争夺TeleAtlas，一边和Nokia谈
判。没办法，全世界就这么两家专业地图数据公司。
没办法，那要看谁。Garmin没办法不等于Google也没办法。Google Map刚上网头两年，

站务黑箱操作了。看了俩个人的竞选申请，不禁设想了下版务会怎么选择呢，毕竟不同
人主持下的风格会大不同。
老范的申请里提到了“让apple版偏向于技术化多一些”，于是就有人说首先要热爱果
果的人当，技术过硬没用。我想这些人忘记了几个事实，（1）Apple版是放在“电脑网
络”分类下的，本身就带着深深的技术烙印，再看看apple store网站里的产品，还有
几个不是完整的电脑系统。（2）因为苹果是封闭系统，所以关于版里的大量话题是关
于iphone，ipad和appletv的jailbreak，unlock，tether，cydia及其衍生物，如果没
有这些技术话题支撑着大家探索的兴趣，难道要靠itunes。（3）还应该去Apple版数数
，到底有百分之几的话题没牵涉到技术。
那么当Apple版版主需要热爱果果么？这个程度需要大家去衡量。果果产品对大众好用
舒服从而对果果喜欢有热情当然是好的，但是上升到热爱的程度就不能不考虑在管理版

Despite being located in the largest shopping mall in the United States as
measured by leasable square feet, Apple's King of Prussia retail store at
the King of Prussia Mall outside of Philadelphia is nothing special by Apple

Financier George Soros more than doubled his stake in the iPhone and iPad
