is gonna be correct:
No matter who wins tomorrow's game 7 between wild and canucks, the stanley
cup finals team from western conference is going to be-Anaheim Mighty
Ducks. The reason is, no team in NHL history has ever reached Stanley
Cup Finals after 2 7-game series. The closest teams are 2002 Colorado
Avalanche (lost in 7 to Detriot) and 1993 Maple Leafs (lost in 7 to
LA Kings). |

he is hot hot hot even without Dany Heatley,10 goals in 9 games and his last
goal was the overtime winner. Atlanta Thrashers only lost 2 game so far, if he

布法罗，底特律，匹兹堡，费城，科罗拉多等等的比赛。有几个球队关注了很久，相对
也比较喜欢，当然和自己居住的城市有感情，也喜欢自己城市的球队，现在列举三个最
喜欢的球队，也从一个侧面代表了流离奔波的旅程。
科罗拉多雪崩队
科罗拉多雪崩队（Colorado Avalanche）是位于美国丹佛的国家冰球联盟队伍，隶属于
西大区西北分区。
科罗拉多雪崩队的前身是魁北克北方人队，成立于1972年；1995年球队迁往至丹佛，并
改名为科罗拉多雪崩队。球队曾赢得2次史丹利杯，但都是在迁往至丹佛后夺得。目前
魁北克的很多居民期望科罗拉多能重返魁北克，但是何其难啊。队中有唯一的华裔
brandon yip，生于温哥华，26岁。俱乐部成立于1972年，得过两次斯坦利杯，95－96

canucks的回忆吧。
1995年移居到加拿大，刚去加拿大时还是个足球迷（90年代初的孩子都是红黑米兰迷，
你懂的）。冰球在加拿大就像宗教，我很快就开始迷上冰球，自然而然拥护本地的球队
，vancouver canucks.
很多人不看冰球，因为球速太快跟不上，于是当年ABC好像还试验过转播时在冰球后加
上一个轨迹，red for shot, blue for pass. 这当然被加拿大人嗤之以鼻，molson 啤
酒还专门作了一个广告嘲笑美国人。
说起来我运气比较差，之前的一年canucks刚刚进入stanley cup finals, 七场惜败给
ny rangers。当年的队里也颇有几个大牌球星。首屈一指的就是Pavel Bure, aka
Russian Rocket。这哥们的启动速度绝对是冰球史上第一，每次break-away进球都能让
人热血沸腾，他short-handed进球比不少人power-play还要多。还有就是队长golden

我向来有点儿身在曹营心在汉，老觉得西部的球队总体技高一筹，特别是在去年
Penguins缺兵少将的情况下。当时Bruins打Canucks，我这身在波士顿的伪球迷一直唱
衰自己球队，最后来了个哀兵必胜，皆大欢喜。
和东部类似，今年西部也是一个division异军突起，横扫各方神圣。Blues,准常规赛冠
军，后卫和门将简直是神了。就说最近这几周，基本上没有球队进过Blues的球。门将
Brian Elliott是wisc校友，在那儿的第一年，校报上大肆宣传签约Senators的事迹，
于是对他多了一份关注。但这几年他混得很落魄，几乎丢了NHL的饭碗，没想到今年咸
鱼翻身，大放异彩。可见一个正确的体系和合拍的教练对人的发展影响多大。引申到我
们普通人的生活，何尝不是这样？此处略去1000字...像他们这种build on defense的
球队，似乎就是为季后赛而生的。但我们也知道季后赛character比talent更重要...

toews也是队长，稳健，也是加拿大国家队的，2010奥林匹克金牌得主，2010年斯坦利
杯得主，很多光环，但是大家似乎都把注意力放crosby身上，商业赞助也不少。
blake，安娜海穆鸭子队的，也是白血病survivor，不知到是不是还在活跃，去年看过他

发帖数: 385 | 40 俺膝盖没有问题，一直锻炼quad muscles来着的说，偶尔觉得不适马上会用护膝...肌
肉强了对膝盖的冲击会小很多，我注意的还有：
* do leg stretches before and after (Strengthening those quads by doing
squats and leg lifts will defintely help)
* use poles, poles reduce stress on the knee
* pay attention to my foot posture to hike/climb properly according to different
terrains.
* take joint care pill- Glucoseamine Sulfate/Chondroitin. It helps rebuild
cartilage(sometime forget it)

下了差不多一周雪后，周六居然又是晴天。不过Avalanche Dangerous升到了中等，在
坡度超过40度的地方就要特别小心了。我们从Porter fork上，Elbow fork下，沿公路
走了回来。一共6mile出头。这次后一半基本没有别人pack down的trail了，都是老师
在前面break trail，感觉非常辛苦的样子。 连我这个在后面跟着的一天下来都感觉累
的不行。

canyon and tried to hike to the squaw peak which from trail head to the peak
is about 4 mile one way and 3500ft elevation gain.
We hit the trail head @ 1:30pm. The first picture labeled both.
I have hiked the trail for at least 4 times during the summer, however, I
still got lost the trail after about 4 miles. we almost hit the ridge when
my friend called off the pursue. But still it is funny, even again I felt
twice

, stable snow, no avalanche concern. However, we did not make it.
We left trail head(5900ft) at 3am. The plan was arriving at the top of
Palmer before 5:30am, arriving at base of crater rock before 7am, arriving
at Hog's back before 8:30am, summitting before 11:00am. But we were a little
behind the schedule, especially from the top of Palmer to the base of
crater rock, the snow field is getting steep, about 35 degree.

滑雪这项运动涉及到的装备和logistics比较多，learning curve相对其他运动也比较陡
，所以新手不是那么容易上手。如果有经验的人能普及一些基本的知识会容易很多。
* 分类
从场地分，主要有三种:
In-bound (滑雪场)
Crosscountry (地势起伏不大的野外)
Backcountry (地势起伏较大的山)
从器械分，至少有以下几种：
Downhill ski
AT ski
Snowboard
Splitboard
Telemark ski
XC ski
Downhill ski/snowboard主要在雪场内滑，AT/Telemark/Splitboard都是backcountry。

发帖数: 362 | 47 就是肥猫阿诺心1/01/09 爬的2号坡，越往上坡度越大。最后一小段的坡度
和half dome最后索链那段差不多。我从那里上去后，没敢尝试从原路
glissading。
今天早上天冷雪硬，非常适合攀登那里 (安全起见，最好别从那里登顶) 。
理论上说，那个大坡的角度正好处于avalanche 最危险的区间 ，30(斜坡
底部)~45(顶部)。刚开始爬了一会儿，上面滚下一块石头，从离我大概几
十feet的地方掠过，竟然有陀螺旋转时“呜呜”的声音。总共看到不少于
十个类似滑落的石块。这样的阵式让我连中途休息的心情都没有了。
最后的阶段，crampon的功效发挥出来，臂力好在这样的角度和冰雪硬度
上会占一些便宜 - 用ice axe 象打杖钉一样垂直一击，ice axe深入冻雪
层给人一种很牢固的感觉。 我当时希望两只手里都是ice axe。
另外山顶的标高和GEODETIC MARK已经被人从积雪下清理出来了 - 还是
有人记得大致的方位。 |

而且的skyline最后一段上面都是树，积雪也主要是过去那两场storm带
来的, 不像会发生avalanche的地方。 当然，到雪线以后的雪层分析
更重要。 |
