发帖数: 1243 | 2 我个人认为Avalanche的定位有偏差。可能开始他们想在SUV和Truck之间找个折中方案
。但是这个折中方案有点四不像不为人们接受。开SUV的嫌他不够舒适，开truck的嫌它
性能不行。
我以前开SUV，现在开Truck。我的建议是，如果没有特殊理由买truck还是SUV吧。
Truck比一般SUV还是废油，而且车身宽且长，Parking有一定难度和限制。另外，底盘
较硬，乘坐的人肯定觉得不如高档的SUV舒服。如果偶尔拉谢脏东西，可以考虑在SUV后
面临时挂个托盘，不用的时候拿下来，挺方便实用。
我个人不喜欢mini van，虽然van更适合家庭使用。觉得太没个性了。而且如果是家庭
用车，还是把安全性放第一位吧，Sedan的安全性还是比不上大车的。

Chevy Silverado的越野性能如何这个没有比较过。不过，我周围有几个朋友都是开

canyon and tried to hike to the squaw peak which from trail head to the peak
is about 4 mile one way and 3500ft elevation gain.

我觉得挺冷的，我们7月底去的，晚上大概也就是4，50度的样子。如果camping的话，
最好是20F的睡袋，或者更好的。
2天挺紧张的.你可以一天开going-to-the-sun-road，然后找个短的trail走一走，
hidden lake overlook或者avalanche lake。另外一天，可以找个长点的trail走一走
，highline, grinnel glacier, iceberg lake (现在好像开了？）都是不错的选择。
你们也可以在咨询一下visitor center 的ranger，根据你们的状况，他们应该也会有
合适的推荐。
你可以试试找st mary的lodge,另外，那附近也有许多camp ground，应该不难找到住的
地方。

Purdue是一年fellowship，以后转RA/TA。申请时联系的教授是PD Ye，中国人，ALD生
长高K栅介质晶体管；感觉做的很不错，也挺喜欢这个方向的，每年发文也很多。UVa是
RA，导师是JC Campbell，做avalanche photodiode等，资历很老的美国人，属于功成
名就的那种，头衔一大堆，工程院院士，IEEE fellow等，据他的学生说对学生很nice
。MM已经从了UVa。
Purdue ECE的排名和名气应该比UVa大很多，相应的资源也丰富，在工业界名气大；U |

结果刚买完就发现performance打折比rei打折更便宜。。。
所以上来问问车子本身素质怎么样，为损失的将近70刀银子寻求精神安慰。。。

有朋友也骑或者骑过这辆车的么，能跟我普及一下moutain bike的关于重要部件的

一个到处是公路的国家，road bike的快速更加实用 |

moutain)更重要。
upgrade的门道很多，等你用这个车子跑了两三千迈以上，大概就会有这方面的要求了
，现在还是先跑起来再说吧。
DC的trail不少，有一条OD&Wilson Trail，从山脚下的一个镇（Friderickburg?)经过
Leesville到Sterling到Reston一直到DC downtown，还有个Mt Vernon trail风景也不
错。其实DC城里的bike trail/lane四通八达。骑车去博物馆咖啡店四处逛逛，还是蛮
小资的。 |

就没有试过一次，今天要试一把。
好的事丰田的糖爪，现象好了，最不好的就是RIDGELINE.首先C柱很粗，比糖爪还粗，
这就挡住了一部分视线，在加上后排座位的撑脑袋的高高的枕头，再加上那个名副其实
的RIDGE侧线，往右后方看的确视野不是那么好。当时，习惯了的话，把右侧面的镜子
调整好了也不是那么可怕。
候后视野就不那么好了。我在车商的停车场都是坚持自己开出来，倒进去，就是要实验
一下车的操控性好不好，前后左右的视野好不好。
，轮胎也就拿不出来了。
档位拉到一档之后，手动按下按钮，变成四驱，锁住后轮的差速器，速度不能超过
18MPH。18的速度很快了，对需要用到四驱的情况下。
做了一次比较大的维护。OUTBACK的发动机是直的，皮带都在前面，火花塞都在侧面，
换起来相对容易。我看RIDGELINE和PILOT的皮带都在侧面的“槽”里面，还挺深，若是
将来换起来肯定会相对痛苦一些。 |

him as one of the best offensive players in the league. I am still clearly
remembering Modano single-handedly killed Avalanche in 1999 and 2000. Have to
mention Theo Fleury when talking about Mike Modano. what a turnaround!

heared one single woman called radio station talking about baseball or
basketball (I've heard some talking about collge football, one of them
being Bowling Green Fan), yet quite a few Hockey fans. About 10-15 female
fans called in asking about the possibility of Forsberg's return before last
year's Avalanche-Kings playoff game. |
