is at least 10 classes. that is $150!!! If buy a dance card, still costs $
125 for 10 classes. That is expensive!!
The Zumba class I am taking is free for my fitness membership. If I want to
take it outside, I know a good teacher who offers $5 per class. But I can'
t find a ballet teacher doing that. That frustrated me! |

dance class or hear about the $5 dance class. The ballet class was free in
my fitness program, then they stopped it in the summer. I hope they could
restart it in the Fall.

for you, but also you need a lot of guidance and proper technique to avoid
injuries to your knee and feet.
I remember some studio in NYC offers $12-14 classes, alvin ailey i believe.
My own ballet studio charges me $12/session (big city) too. Where do you
live? |

发帖数: 53 | 39 The Capazio store @ 51st St. and Broadway has a large selection of ballet
shoes. You need to choose canvas or leather, single sole or split sole.
Traditional teachers prefer single sole because it strengthens your foot. I
think leather ones are about $50 while canvas ones are about $20. Pink for
ladies, black/white for guys.
Once you buy the shoes, you have to sew the elastics yourself.

周围所有的中国女同学都在学芭蕾和/或钢琴，让我压力很大——结果我自己看得很投
入，再次觉得英国片合胃口。
电影讲的是三个孤女与收养她们的大姐相依为命，长大后追求各自的理想，一个成为演
员，一个飞上蓝天——我刚在版上聊过开飞机，所以看得很激动——最小的饿裔女孩跳
芭蕾。穷人家的孩子奋斗成功的故事本来就容易打动人；电影又大段展现芭蕾、音乐、
舞蹈、朗诵、舞台剧等各种美的艺术，十分赏心悦目。女孩们去上的是一个Ballet and
Stage Training School，从芭蕾到表演都学。学芭蕾真是培养女性气质，身段、姿态
、一举一动都有优雅的功架底子。学朗诵、话剧也有助于发声、谈吐和自我表达。原来
英国的孩子从小就开始表演莎剧，从欢快的《仲夏夜之梦》——这又是版上刚刚聊过的
——到沉重的《理查三世》都演。从小如此潜移默化，长大后的文学修养一定好。我小
时候也参加朗诵和话剧班，但从来没排演过什么古典话剧。中国古典drama似乎都是戏
曲，没有纯念白的话剧？为什么？
