asked if I used tire shine on the tires, which I do frequently to keep the
new/black look:grinyes: . He informed me that tire shine products actually
damage the tires because they pull the oils from inside the tires to the
outside, giving the shiny/black look. He said that this could lead to

2. Don't use tires older than 10 years or 6 years if you are really
concerned.
3. Inflate the tire pressure to what car manual suggests.
Most highway tire blowout is due to under-inflation, not over-inflation. |

Tire blowout on highway is mostly because of low pressure, which is actually
due to too much friction. However, as you mentioned earlier, this entire
thread is about winter with possibly slippery road conditions. Thus, it's
more important to get better grip of the road with a relatively low tire
pressure. |

I'm arguing that in WINTER, it's not a bad idea to leave relatively low
pressure for the tires to gain extra friction. Please read and understand
others' post first and comment objectively later.

PVC pipe sch 40 is rated at 140 psi.
20 - 30 psi is good enough, 45 psi top.
I think most shop vacuum using the air out end
is good enough. I haven't try it though. |

加换胎 $725，amex rental insurance 不管，理由是Damage not covered for losses

啥的在学校，决定弄个 batman 主题爬梯，邀请的也都是娃在学校的朋友，因为娃很快
要升班，班上的娃也女孩多，又小，就请了两个，其他的都是大班的孩子，以前都认识
的。
邀请等回复就不说了，前面写了一个帖子。最后有7个孩子来，两个sibling，一些家长。
我基本上参考了http://www.birthdaypartyideas.com/上的一些ideas. 基本想法是创造一个氛围，玩些游戏，吃蛋糕。准备的过程不太顺利，想法改来改去，知道爬梯开始前2小时才弄完（接下来还要吃饭，搬东西过去，也没时间了，就那样了）。
准备了下面的东西：
1. 爬梯邀请卡。拆开一个大小合适的卡的信封，用cardstock黑纸裁成相同的形状，里
面用silver的笔写上时间地点等信息，折成信封，用有一面有胶的黄色cardstock纸剪
成bat形状，把信封口封好。
2. 网上买的batman头盔（硬纸板折的，可是搬东西时发现怎么找也找不着了，不知道
我家小祖宗给放哪了，到现在还不知所踪）
