个人理解是，原则上如果没有生命安全问题的话单纯为保护财产commit homicide
在很多州都问题很大。
但如果现场你有理由认为对方会威胁你或者别人的生命或者造成严重bodily
injury的，这包括可能、并且有能力、并且很快要做，而且正常人会这么认为，
法律上可以用枪保护自己或别人。
具体baltimore的情况，或者以前L.A. riot，有烧房子就存在烧死人的问题，如果
人在房子里，对方很多人，手持武器砸玻璃冲进来，也有杀人或者造成serious bodily
injury的可能。而对方正在冲进来就是正在进行，我个人觉得符合用枪条件。
如果人不在房子里，从外面看到有人砸玻璃，就只是保护财产，我想在很多州的法庭上
都够呛。

大概在今年8月的时候，上班回家的路上在离家还有4mile距离的地方，rear-end了前面
的一个汽车，当时的情况是前面很远处有一红灯，而只有一个lane，所以所有的车都在
走走停停，这个时候我的电话响起，于是就找电话，车处于滑行状态（就是松开油门自
动挡的状态），撞到了前面的汽车，速度应该小于20 MPH.
责任在我，没有疑问，双方都下车，对方还特意要我不要下车，把车按照撞击的状态停
好，他下车拍下了当时撞车以后我的车头和他的车尾接触地方的照片，双方打电话叫警
察，警察大概过了半个小时来了，这期间双方还有过聊天，当然是一些无关紧要的对话

Generally speaking, when you are inside your home, you do not need to

标 题: 如何自己向保险公司 claim bodily injury

1. 前提: 责任明确是对方; 事故中没有伤筋动骨 (小事故);
2. 目的: 对方责任的情况下, 如果只赔车损加 medical bill,
绝对是不公平的, 因为车是修不到原来的 value 的,
加上突然事故造成的各种不方便, 对方绝对应该赔付
额外的损失.
另外, 因为是小事故, 所以不推荐请律师, 一是请
律师不一定容易, 二是考虑律师也要分钱(小事故能
打下来的钱本来就不多).
3. 说明: 提供一个方案而已, 如果自己觉得请律师更好,或者
干脆认为自己太面,不愿意找麻烦,不在乎那几千块钱
赔偿,看到这里就可以了.
另外,这里只说 bodily injury, 至于车损属于

发帖数: 1308 | 30 我原来NC的保险bodily injury和uninsured motorist：30k/60K， property damage是50k。刚刚在MVA网站看到这边要求是30k/60k，property damage 15k而已。开的是个破车，请问大家在这边买车保的时候是按最低标准就可以了吗？
之前打电话quote了几家，一开始allstate给我quote个700多半年半包，当时吓了一跳，后来仔细一看他给我加成50k/100k的bodily damage/uninsured motorist，然后property damage 也给加成50k了。
现在我NC这个policy 180半年，目前quote Geico最低，按照MD 最低要求是250 半年，如果加成和NC coverage一样是380多。Allstate 是400，按照MD最低coverage+2500的personal injurey(PIP).
