几家银行的盈利模式，希望与大家共享讨论。作为新人，分析必定有不确切之处，还望
各位老手包涵指教。
我觉得Chase和AMEX能拿出更好的offer，是建立在了牺牲被关卡用户或是卖家的利益基
础之上的。这就好比Free After Rebate，是商家建立在大部分人不会做Rebate或是会
购买后续产品基础之上，为了赚更多钱才采取的促销一样。同样，银行不是真“大方”
，它很精明，因为它就是为赚钱而生的。
最近Chase大量关卡，原因估计就是它账面上的点数快要“入不敷出”，FAR的游戏做
Rebate的人太多，肯出钱续服务的人太少导致它有亏损的风险，所以Chase就选择通过
关一部分用户的卡来“赖账”减少“开支”。类似地，最近AMEX决定为Blue Cash
Preferred设限也是类似的道理。
一个相反的例子就是citi forward一直把amazon算是bookstore，给5pts/$1。之所以这
个program长久不衰，说白了还是因为这么做让citi赚了。如果有一天amazon不算

我搜了一下我的forward刷amazon记录，只有2014年9月有一个消费被标为
MerchandiseMISCELLANEOUS / SPECIALTY RETAIL STORES ，其他都是bookstore。
所以就是只要是老forward，就是只要网站上transaction的category标为bookstore,
theater,dining/restaurant都有5points？
那再追问一下，ATT more access, 是不是不能根据transaction category来判断
online 3X？

发帖数: 105 | 15 这要看她的公寓在哪儿了，不过总的来说呢，治安没有传说那么差
我经常晚上两三点钟从HHH公寓走到Yale Bookstore那里去买烟，
比 yale art studio还要远一点吧。路上几乎没有什么人，坏人估计
也睡觉了。不过一个女孩子的话还是建议坐校车吧，minibus是免费的
六点以后可以随时叫，大概要等5，6分钟吧。
中国人吃饭的地方比较好的呢有这么几家，Asianhouse，川菜做的不
坏，不过菜样比较少，京园广东菜，饭店环境不错，老板人也比较爽
利。川园是不是在colinton啊，没去过，太远，据说川菜一流。现在
新开的一家Eastern buffe，还不错，北京烤鸭做的有点意思。要说
bar么，Yale Bookstore那里有一家叫Xander的，Yale的学生hangout
的不少，Toads是official的Yalie的bar吧，太吵，主要是蹦的，还有
一家叫Anchor's bar的，据说是Judy Foster的favorite。在哪儿现在
说不清除，去过几次。大致就是这样吧。

苦多了，哈哈
太苦了, OLIN的70%的沙发基本都被我睡过, 哈哈........之后我索性把书啊, 作业啊,
电脑啊, 吃的啊, 都放在OLIN的LOCKER里, 哪样忘带了可以马上去急救. 想想以前一
大早的课, 我基本都是迟到的, 然后课上一口一个酸奶, 一口一个苹果, 再加点坚果,
当时就想着课快快结束, 我好跑去dining hall找吃的了, 哈哈. 以前的dining hall在
bookstore那幢楼的地下一层, 后来学生活动中心建好了就搬过去了. 去年回了趟学校,

我在这个学校呆了3个学期外加2次暑期班，感觉还不错，当时英文不好，我是从ESL开
始学起的，在这个学校学了蛮多东西，交了几个比较要好的朋友。我没有毕业，就直接
转到MSU了，省了不少时间。
-学费便宜，不收out of county fee,全NJ的学生去念都一样的价格。
-如果申请到financial aid, 学校的course schedule上会标注一笔补助的金额。凭这
张schedule，你能在学校的bookstore里购买课本、各种文具、还有其他的商品（eg.
你的补助金额为$200，在学校bookstore购买商品时出示course schedle, 就能用它抵
消掉$200的费用。）
-ESL Program 非常好,分科很细，教授都很尽责，教学质量高。如果想读语言的话，我

今天早上，我翻出春天买的一条毛线围巾。这是一条有各种红色的毛线手编围巾。以桃
红色为主，有妃红，品红，绯红，洋红，殷红，檀红，还有两条绛紫的长绒线夹在里面。
这是一条我心爱的围巾。
我将原来放围巾的购物袋连同围巾的收据和围巾上的标签仔细地收好。

Sure there are bookstores around, but Newyork is far from where I live.--
Hey, this is not the point.
Maybe I didn't make it clear before.
My friend, now is in China, will go to NewYork on business,
and he wants to buy some books for himself, not for me, in his spare time.
Since I have no idea of bookstores in NewYork,
I posted here to ask for help.

if he loves japanese 动漫书，you can get the english version of those in the
bookstore. there are many since they are popular with american kids as
well. i used to leaf through these in the bookstore hehe. |

Barnes & Nobel bookstore,在我们这个穷乡辟野之处算是很大的书店了。我
一般不去书店，因为太贵；网上买书就方便便宜多了。不过买书太方便也不是
好事，经常让我打破一个月只买一本书的规定：比如这个月，就买了杨小凯英
文回忆录和吴清源的回忆录《中的精神》。
可是书店里面经常能淘到一些有趣的书，现在手头有的newyork times best
seller （南京大屠杀）和《the boxer rebellion》
都是在这家barnes & nobel bookstore弄到的。也不贵，20美元以内，都还
算是低于心理价位。
今天也算是有收获，居然发现一本《the red color news solider》，对应
的中文是《红色新闻兵》。原来是一个黑龙江日报社的记者在文革十年间的
摄影集，夹杂者当时的新闻简报和背景知识介绍，算是方便美国人 |

单排在队尾。一批一批的发货，现在才轮到我这拨。bookstore里面的人说，苹果发的
货tracking不到，因为要节约成本，用的很奇怪的物流。我的order预计4天前就应该到
了。但是现在还没见来。不会是海运的吧，不会海运到索马里被劫了吧。他们叫我做
cross finger状然后等着，说也许有用。 |
