基本上到今天为止，我算是把整个Canadian Rockies地区转了个遍：四个国家公园外加
Rockies东麓，几乎开遍了所有的主干道以及著名的小道。趁着记忆还算新鲜，把所见

Banff大概是绝大多数人进入Canadian Rockies的入口，如果是从Calgary开车出发的话
（Vancouver出发的话应该先进入Yoho）。Banff确实很美，至少我在刚刚进入Rockies
地区的时候就被路边的美景震撼了一下。不过我对Banff公园更深刻的印象，是Banff小
镇：整个Rockies地区吃喝玩乐购物娱乐的中心，要啥有啥，各种餐馆商铺应有尽有，

自从去年Alaska大玩了一圈回来，我自以为PhD期间的游历生涯已经结束了。整整
一年在终日惶惶的lab research 中度过。又到了七八月vacation期间，我却开始正式
写thesis，每日目光呆滞，生活索然无趣。而bf的实验也进程缓慢，让我常觉得他要狂
躁症爆发的先兆。终于有一天早晨，bf突然跑来说，我们去Canadian Rockies玩吧。
Rockies是我俩向往以久的去处，虽然准备仓促，但是考虑到学生时代的穷开心岁月即
将结束，而且我的advisor也向来非常nice，我就迷迷糊糊的答应了。结果bf以迅雷不

连接Banff与Jasper，更准确地说是lake Louise与Jasper的93号公路，就是著名的
Icefield parkway，也算是Canadian Rockies地区标准路线之一吧。此条公路确实漂亮
，算是雪山森林类风景中我开过的最美的一条公路了，路边雪山湖泊延绵不断，还有著
名的Columbia 冰川，偶尔还有几只鹿啊羊啊的给点惊喜（开车时可能是惊吓……）
不过这条路在冬天最严重的问题，就是没扫雪的……尤其是靠近Banff的一段，路况极
差，地上都是被压实沉的冰雪混合物，我来回开了4趟，每次都是在这一段战战兢兢…
…因为Jasper似乎比Banff暖和，所以当93号路远离Banff之后，路况好了不少，不过冬
天还是小心为上。
另外啰嗦一下关于这个冬天开车的问题。基本上整个Canadian Rockies，除了trans
Canada Hwy 1和16号路，以及Kootenay National Park内的93号路（非Icefield

1. I will go to Buffalo to apply Canadian visa in the morning of Tuesday in
person. Can I get the visa on same day?
2. The trip will be less than 30 days and I will not apply US visa there.
According to my lawyer, I should be no problem to come back USA by using the
existing H1B approval notice due to the Automatic revalidation. Is that
true?

resident of Canada. It's the analog of the GC for the US, and you can work
anywhere in Canada, as long as you fulfill the 2 out of 5 year requirement.

The Price Guarantee Policy of CanadianTire is too bad, just 7 days!!
which means if the price of your purchase is lower in the following 7 days,
you can get the difference. But if it's out of the 7 days range, you cannot
get it.
What you can do to against this policy is to utilize the return policy of
Canadian tire. They have great return policy, you can return your purchase
within 90 days with original package!!! So, if you find something |

Ontario on Sunday, killing at least three people, according to the train
operator VIA Rail.
"There were 75 passengers on board the train at the time of the accident.
