我有两只猫，大的7个月，小的4个月。目前住的房子里铺的是地毯，而且是长毛那种，
特别容易trap各种脏东西。
最近想买一个立式吸尘器和一个carpet steamer，或两者2合1最好不过，不知各位能否
推荐一些品牌、型号？主要目的是想吸地毯里trap的被她俩蹬出去的猫砂，猫毛和灰尘
之类的，必要时用steamer洗洗呕吐物痕迹。不需要特别奢侈，基本功能给力就够了。

下来.一般说来最好选100%尼龙的地毯,经脏又易于打扫.carpet store的sample一般都

如果没有朋友推荐的carpet installer,你可以私下里问问carpet store的安装工人如

carpet padding that I have in my own home. If that is too expensive, you
should get waffle rubber padding, a little cheaper, but still not bad.
I prefer woven carpet the best, have it in several of my rooms, the rest of
carpeted area in my house is needlefelt carpet (hallways with lots of
traffic). I have not used knotted carpet (have a rug that is knotted, but

查了我们州的法律。要求在45天内通知归还押金和其他。
因为需要break lease，我们提前一个月通知他们三月底搬出，有书面的申请，说好了
我们负责到有新租户搬进的日子，可是我们当时没有要copy. 后来口头上又续租了一个
月，也同意了（因为没有新租户要进来）。 后来跟我们说必须要4月底搬出因为5月中
旬有人要搬进来。 这个具体的合同终止日期无论是三月底，四月底或者原合同的十二
月底，对这个影响都不大。
我现在主要是关于他们的损坏赔偿有很大的意见，换整个房间的carpet都算在我们头上
是肯定不愿意接受的，总共有三项：
1.replace carpet due to numerous stains and bleach throughout. $996.52
2.refrigerator - shelf bar broken $20.46
3.extra cleaning for the range $25

google了一下，觉得remove这个tile危险更大，cost也高，不如在它上面在cover一层
carpet。不知道装carpet的时候需要破坏tile来固定carpet吗？还是就是粘在上面？如
果是粘在上面，我在想能否在asbestos tile上面先cover一层其他的tile，然后再
cover carpet，这样以后换carpet的时候也不用disturb下面的asbestos tile。
我的agent和inspector说不去disturb它应该没有问题，不放心就cover一下。
有没有同学遇到类似的情况，都是如何处理的呢？谢谢！ |

American carpet wholesaler好象完全是按carpet牌子分类的

cheapest. Installation is $97 for the whole house plus additional charges
for stairs, furniture movement, carpet removal, etc. You can rip off old
carpets to save a little bit.
Homedepot only carries cheapest carpet in stock. To get something better,
you have to special order and it is more expensive and takes at least 3
weeks for ordering.
Costco is more expensive, price is not competitive, but I think the carpet

change it very 4-6 years since they use the worst carpet.
One way to tell if you should replace the carpet is simple. Check the fiber
dust on the blinds, countertops, fans and the AC return, if you see a lot,
especially after you clean them, one month later you find more there, then
your carpet is really bad, although the carpet might have no obvious worn-
out. |

我上个月和以前租房的landlord agent在加州一个small claims court过堂打了官司，
现在对法官的判决有点不满意，我想着再去file 一个appeal，可是我又不确定胜算有
多大或者有没有必要，想在这里请教一下。
我们从09年底和这个agent/property manager 租房到13年中，交的security deposit
$1350, agreement上说这个钱是refundable的；搬出来之前我们打算的挺干净，但是忘
记让agent做walk-thru inspection了，她也没提醒我们。一个月后我们在外州的新址
收到她通过公司名义寄来的refund statement；罗列了各种cost，没有附上invoice/

今晚3月底，我从原来租住的公寓搬到另外一个公寓。原来的公寓叫Avalon Bellevue，
在Bellevue市中心。搬走之前3个星期，他们就派了一个人到我的单元去检查，叫初步
检查，目的是看看有多脏和有没有损坏，给出一个初步的估计，估算一下我搬走之后要
给他们付多少钱。
当时初步检查的结果是：(1) full apartment clean – $125 (2) full painting –
$160 + paint $26 (3) full carpet cleaning – $60 (4) kitchen drip pan
replacement – $24。加起来大概395美元。
我是同意其中的（1）和（4）的，因为我搬走没时间去清洁，也不想清洁，所以他们要

经查，Summit Central 有两个 carpet，lower carpet 与 upper carpet，但没有所谓
的 “surface tow"，你这个名词是哪里看到的？我所看过所有的 tow，不管是手抓的
还是放屁股底下的，都不会在地面上；而在地面上的只有像输送带的 carpet。
我相信你说的那东西应该就是 magic carpet，站上去就好了。
（Summit West 有一个 tow，叫做 rope tow，是用手抓的那种。But like I said, it
hasn't been open for years.） |

Home has a steep driveway up to it. House has had some updates. The laundry
is on the main level. There is a wood burning fireplace in the living room
and the master bedroom. The master bathroom is carpeted.
