你可能认为5月35日是个虚拟的日子,但在中国,它是真实存在的。它指的实际上是6月
4日,1989年发生“天安门事件“的日子,这个词在互联网上被禁掉了,人们于是使用
“5月35日”来逃避审查和纪念那天发生的事。
今年早些时候我访问台湾的时候,我的书《十个词汇里的中国》在那儿刚刚出版。我被
问到,“为什么这本书不能在大陆出版,而你的小说《兄弟》却可以?”
这就是虚构与非虚构的差别:尽管两本书都是关于当代中国的,《兄弟》触及的是隐晦
的事因而可以成为漏网之鱼,而《十个词汇里的中国》过于直白,逃不过审查。
“《兄弟》是5月35日”,我解释道,“而《十个词汇里的中国》更像6月4日。”
想要表达观点的话,5月35日式的词汇成了今天的例行规则。根据最新的数字,中国有
四亿五千七百万网民,三亿三百万中国人可以用手机上网。在网上控制这些用户不越距
是巨大的工作,政府最有效的控制机制是把某些词汇设定为不可接受,直接禁止它们在
网上使用。

Chinese newspaper "Australian Chinese Daily" of 27 May 2013 that the name of
the title of this web page has been changed to another name less critical
of Americans in the United States. The new name is also neutral in that it
does not tell readers this web page is intended to collect negative (and not

Maybe I spot some very minor slips.
e.g.
1).The author says: 731BC April 21, the birthday of Rome and still celebrated
today.
Yes, this special day is called Parilia, still celebrated in Italy.
But the birthday of the city, which is called AUC (ab urbe condita) date,
perhaps, should be 753/754 BCE???
2)The author said or implied that after praetor, you may go to the position of
censor.
But censor was a highly reputed position. After a certain date in the

我觉得关键问题是目前这个世界还是由西方掌握着话语权的。。所谓的正义和公正都是
由西方定义的。。甚至对于近代历史上的重大事件的性质和真相也都是由西方定论的。
。再加上这些大公司都是美国背景的就更是为美国的利益所服务。。前端时间的伊朗动
乱就是很好的例子。。。。这世界上不存在一个所谓完全客观公正的平台和信息。。大
部分时候对于信息的可靠真实与否都取决于媒体的引导。不是说国内的人不会分辨是非
而是全世界的人或多或少不都是在被自己的政府灌输着自己的观念。。很多的事没有正
义邪恶之分只有是否有利于国家利益的区别。。。国内的古狗过滤了64事件是censor但
是美国的google搜索tiananmen square首先跳出来的都是有关64的又何尝不是一种逆向
censor呢。。tg封网的手段固然粗糙尤其是最近搞得这一些整顿。但是不是完全没有道
理的。在面对西方掌握着垄断权的情况下。全面开放网络和全面开放自由市场一样。。
。。。一个是让西方掌控了自己的经济一个是让西方控制了自己人民的思想最终结果都
是为西方自己的利益服务。。而不可能会出现很多人想象的双赢情况。。我是支持开放
网络自由得。。但是我觉得

This is a tragedy to hit the most powerful group in this nation and probably
in the Western world. Unlike blacks, Hispanics, Muslims and even whites
this tragedy cannot be openly discussed. The media itself will censor and by
censoring not allow tensions to be dissipated. It creates a viscous cycle.

i am so amused by what u just said. Tell me what you have read. GCD-censored
books are usually biased, and thus I never seriously believe those shit.
But I did read other books and now I know Mao's contribution to China is
real. I dont know how many books you have read and who wrote the books; I
dont know how much u believe in a single book u read; I dont know why u
think everyone only had access to GCD-censored books. I dont know a lot
