排名第三的彼得堡的state hermitage museum，拍过电影russian ark，就记得金碧辉
煌，没看到什么画……
排第15的Yale Center for British Art我也常觉得比英国的画廊都好……小而精致，
各个时期和画家的代表作收集得很精，介绍也很精，看完印象很深。建筑也很宽敞明亮
，令人愉快，不过太亮是不是对画不好。
有个Doha的Museum of Islamic Art。希望有机会去。
台北故宫上榜，北京故宫没上，倒是北京的789工厂榜上有名。说最近有一个Duchamp
and/or/in China的展览，到六月中截止。听着挺有趣，不知道goldy去看过没。

一、历史 新加坡古称淡马锡，公元8世纪建国，属印尼室利佛逝王朝。公元18世纪至19
世纪初为马来亚柔佛王国的一部分。1819年，英国人史丹福·莱佛士抵新，与柔佛苏丹
订约设立贸易站。1824年沦为英国殖民地，成为英在远东的转口贸易商埠和在东南亚的
主要军事基地。1942年被日军占领，1945年日本投降后，英国恢复其殖民统治，次年划
为直属殖民地。1946年英国将其划为直辖殖民地。1959年6月新加坡实行内部自治，成
为自治邦，英国保留国防、外交、修改宪法、颁布“紧急法令”等权力。1963年9月16
日并入马来西亚。1965年8月9日脱离马来西亚，成立新加坡共和国。同年9月成为联合
国成员国，10月加入英联邦。
关于国名的由来，据马来史籍记载，公元1150年左右，苏门答腊的室利佛逝王国王子乘
船到达此岛，看见一头黑兽，当地人告知为狮子，此地遂 称“狮城”。“新加坡”是
梵语“狮城”的谐音，由于当地居民受印度文化影响喜欢用梵语作为地名，且狮子具有
勇猛、雄健的特征，故以此作为国名。

个好觉，还是非常疲乏。这个城市有很多令人谈虎色变的危险地带，最有名的就是机场
、市中心和索韦托这三个地方。除约堡机场经常发生货物被盗抢的案件外，还是犯罪团
伙猎取下机旅客作为抢劫目标的场所。有时机场人员或冒充者敲诈勒索钱物更是让乘客
们深恶痛绝。
约翰内斯堡，南非最大的城市和经济中心，被称为是世界上最危险，犯罪率最高的
的城市之一。虽说此地被称作是“凶杀罪恶之都”，但旅客仍是络绎不绝，也是南部非
洲的最大中转站。现约堡机场的乘客流量在非洲的地位已超过埃及开罗机场，成为非洲
最大流量的场。
新政府实行了许多有利于黑人的就业政策，如公平就业法和黑人经济振兴法案
BEE（BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT）所以像机场这种政府企业黑人占多数也并不奇怪
。但是没想到的是整个机场，不管是海关，还是其它服务部门，真的全是黑人一族。我
们都在四处张望，哪怕只是发现一张不同肤色的面孔，也可以验证一下媒体说得并不完

其主要演出地点是Roy Thomson Hall，内部以丑陋著称。
此乐团算不上世界级的乐团，但是演奏者功力还算扎实，演奏一些力量型的作品往往让
人喜出望外。中提琴首席是来自南京留学美国名校柯蒂斯的李腾女士，小提琴中还有一
位来自大陆的帅哥戴金杉。
每年都有一些知名独奏家前来合作协奏曲，如帕尔曼，马友友，还有目前很红在华人圈
子里面人气很高的朗朗。
2 加拿大歌剧公司，Canada Opera Company，简称COC

演出地点是Four Seasons Centre
算是加拿大第一。自称是北美第三的歌剧院（第一是巨牛的纽约大都会，第二是芝加哥
Lyric），因为经济实力，请不到水平最高的歌唱家，但是退而求其次而来的二流演员
还有一定的质量。另外就是歌剧涉及到舞台道具服装之类，可看性还是比较好。
