Multiple people were hit in a string of shootings over the course of four
hours last night in Chicago, including 13 wounded in a single shooting at a
park. According to the Chicago Tribune, 18 people total were shot. A teenage
boy was shot around 6:35 p.m. followed by a 36-year-old man around 6:56 p.m

我Chicago住过两年. 以前出差一直去SC,通常一年要去3个月.
Chicago就是个shithole, 天气冷就不说了. 主要是整个州被民猪党搞坏了, 税越来越
高. 那个男学生要去学校女厕所的事情就是在Chicago搞出来的. 整个政府都要破产了.
加上Chicago是sanctury city, 非法移民特别多.尼玛你开车被非法移民撞了只能认了.
警察根本不管. 你去chicago downtown 开车试一试,那个高速烂的一p.更别说南面

发帖数: 318 | 8 父母6月21号从san antonio, tx回上海，中间从chicago转机。现在看可能san antonio
到chicago的飞机ua3634会停2号terminal，但是chicago到上海的飞机ua835在1号
terminal登机 （ua3634好像到6月7号才出现的新航班，不过应该还是停t2）。父母飞
机9am左右到chicago机场，回上海的飞机10：30am左右起飞。现在好担心，他们转
terminal，也担心他们转机时间不够，看样子换terminal还要重新安检。要不是宝宝才
4个月太小，老公出差，我就陪他们飞到chicago了。不知道有没有人那天也坐ua
的飞机从chicago回上海。能否帮忙带我父母从t2转到t1。感激不尽，重金酬谢！ |

(1) Elementary schools (K-8) (some classical k-6)
(2) High schools (9-12)
Chicago does not have middle schools, and the suburns have middle schools (6
-8).
All Chicago schools in the list are elementary schools, except for Young
Magnet High school, which has an academic center (7-8).

不可比的硬比一通。结果弄出来的那排名压根不能说服人。 这也就是为啥 US News，
Bussiness Week等一堆公司排出来结果不一样的原因。但是，好学校终归是好学校，在
人们心目中的位置屹立不摇。
具体说，那 Chicago U 就是一个和那个城市一样没落了的烂校，其加速破烂的程度和
它的邻居Detroit那地方有一比。 只有5000多个学生，规模小，招的少，影响差， 一
年装模作样的招上个900，1000来个学生，录取率还大于16%了。 而且差不多40%还是读
Social Sciences的， 足以说明烂得够可以了。 加上学校周围简直就象黑社会，美国
稍微会读书的学生和家庭，谁愿意去那破地方和牛鬼蛇神搏斗？
可大名鼎鼎的 Berkeley就不一样了， 不管美国人还是外国人，特别是中国人，一听
Berkeley立马心里一震，nnd，那可是真正的牛校啊。 古今世界，天文地理，几乎没有

读书的美国人和很有钱的美国人都看不上，只有一些墨哥黑弟，和进不了Berkeley那样
顶尖牛校和一流文理学院的学生，才壮起胆量，穿着厚重的棉裤棉袄，不好意思的深一
脚浅一脚的去读个令人提心吊胆的Chicago.
Chicago U 差，还在于它的 under 特别差和理科出奇的差。如果说它还有些名气的话
，几乎全源于graduate school，和social science， 所以，这所学校，严格的说差不
多就是个文学院，不应当算是个大学。
至于Berkeley，单单一个养得肥到一口咬不透的牛逼医学院，扩展成为不可一世的医学
中心，也就是今天入雷灌耳的 UCFS简直就能把 chicago那破兮兮的医学院给吓个半死。
所以，给Chicago招魂的醒醒吧，你们别再不识时务的猛哭那过气的皇太监了。 |

子和多个offer的高中生，绝对不会选择Chicago。
去Chicago的基本上是就Chicago一个好offer，没有其他好学校的录取。
很多Chicago本科生4年无聊透顶，一点都不喜欢这个学校。 |

Last Sunday, I attended a candidate forum with those seeking to replace Cong
. Jesse Jackson, Jr. at Reverend Wright’s former church (he’s still Pastor
Emeritus), Trinity United Church of Christ. 22 candidates have filed to
replace mentally ill congressman, 17 Democrats and 5 Republicans. The

去年年底去chicago旅游，开的朋友的车。朋友在国外交流一年，才回来。今天朋友跟
我们说他们收到了3月和4月邮寄来的ticket。是chicago Department of Revenue 邮寄
来的。$50的罚款。我们开车其实一直都很小心。看到ticket上有照片，晚上拍的，基
本上看不出来是什么。反正不管怎么样，50刀我们是肯定要给的，现在问题是因为过去
几个月，又罚了50刀，不知道那个能不能打电话argue回来？有木有人有相似经历呀。

我想先统计一下有意买routan的朋友，看看能不能再多砍一点价格
有一点就是ysp0088和我都不在chicago，也没有和dealer打过交道，其实最开始是想跟
团的。如果报名的同学有经验丰富一些的，也希望能提供帮助，到时候能更好维护大家
的权益。

现在定的机票是从kansas city到chicago是AA的票，从chicago到北京是海南航空的票
，两个是分开的票，不是联程。
现在的问题是中间只有一个半小时的间隔时间，而AA在terminal 3，海南全在terminal
5。是不是意味着父母需要在到chicago后取出行李，小火车从terminal 3-5，再去海
南航空托运行李，然后过安检？这样的话是不是一个半小时太短了？
另外能在kansas city直接在AA的柜台申请行李到北京吗，省去在chicago去行李的麻烦
，这样也可以之间在terminal之间走，而不用上小火车了？

Columbia 太小了，没有生活。老中少，而且都是学校里的颓废青年。我在那里一年，
感觉与世隔绝，必须离开。
Chicago是个大小适宜的大都会，你可以比较轻松的往返于suburban与downtown，享受
两种完全不同的风格。Chicago很方便，很享受。有各种餐馆(我一年把Columbia所有
像样的餐馆吃到厌)，有中国使馆，有航空枢纽(不用转机)，有
碧蓝碧蓝的lake，还有各种世界级的博物馆。
至于气候，Chicago的风一点也不大，夏天很美，但是冬天比较长，雪比较多，没有车
库非常痛苦。Columbia气候比较单调，夏天爆晒，其实也不算好。
另外，Chicago的英语口音非常正，Columbia的英语就非常南方了。 |
