Civil,环境和 EE, CS不一样
EE, CS拉几个人就可以做做ic design什么的
civil,环境的项目要么不做，要做都是投资相对比较大的项目
而且这个市场基本是政府控制的
自己搞也没什么搞头
大不了也就是外面找点私活干。你在美国学的规范和国内的还不一样呢。
可能再去学点防地产比较好。 |

发帖数: 353 | 5 我建议你可以学一点GIS/RS相关的东西，我在国内和在美国都是学的Civil&Envir. Engr.
国内的时候，因为我对GIS/RS感兴趣，所以学了些皮毛，到美国以后老板让我做这方面的
研究，3年期间，学了几门课，做了一个项目，后来凭着这点经验找着了现在的工作。
虽然工资不高，但这一行只要有2－3年的工作经验，拿个6－7万是有可能的。其实GIS/RS
和Civil&Envi. Engr. 结合得还是很紧的，拿FIS study来说，一般每个项目里有大概
30％是给GIS mapping的 |

northeast states.
一般大公司70-90K,
小公司，尤其是consulting,就没法说了。100K+我见过的有不少。CIVIL在所有的工科
里基本上是中等偏上吧。工作一般比较没有压力。 |

的配电室,但不包括具体的各个房间的走线,基本只做到电缆进线,变压器,配电屏出线就
完了.接下来的部分该是学CIVIL的继续完成吧?突然挺好奇,想去再读个CIVIL,不知有没

environmental science. Environmental engineering definitely should be with
civil. I think sometimes the bridge between science and engineering is too
weak. |

支.如果你不在加州,考试应该不难的,去www.ppi2pass.com买几本书,准备一下就可以过
..不过要花些时间搞懂structural, geotechical,transportation的东东. |

如果你对污水厂设计比较了解的话，应该考environmental。不然的话，还不如考
general pe呢。
对于多数搞环境的人来说，都考的是civil的那个。毕竟明白化学和生物的civil
engineer并不那么多。 |

category. If you want to transfer your PE license in these states, you
might have to take the PE exam again. If you do not have strong civil
background, my suggestion is to take PE in civil under the catergory of
environmental. However, you may still have to study geotechnical,
structural, and transportation for the PE exam especially the exam in the
morning.
I believe it might be easy to pass the PE exam in environmental. |

现在是在读环境工程，国内读的硕士，现在刚开始phd program.
以前主要做水处理工艺
如果有机会做risk analysis
是不是要比做水处理就业要好一点? 可以跳出环境领域的圈子？范围可以大一点？
听说civil的人不少都是去大小不等的consulting firm，没有什么太多的选择
并且起始工资都不高
另外，我本身不想做faculty（没有这个实力，就不揽这个活拉）

我不知道应该还需要提供怎么样的信息，希望大家帮我参考下吧。
