I did my first gym climb today in these shoes. I had to take them off

Should they hurt this much when you first wear them?
I read they will get better as time goes on but how uncomfortable should I

The shoes do have an aggressive down curve. I know the aggressive nature

1. We climbed almost at the same time 6/27/07 vs. 6/28/09 of a year.

3. On the 2nd part of knife ridge, they went higher than us. It looked like
we did harder route than them

“This is definitely the most strenuous climb I have ever done. It beats the
one-day climb of Rainier. We spent exactly 10 hours in "you-fall-you-die"

t make any navigational mistakes, that time would be cut to 6 hours, which
is much more managable.” |

c*******r 发帖数: 13580 | 9 "climbing" can be a very vague term. I personally use it to refer to
anything where a rope is needed. therefore steep snow, ice, glacier travel,
class
5 rock, occasinally class 4 terrain as well, are all climbing. (of course
when I am on a bike, any form of elevation gain is also referred to as "
climbing", but that's another story).
Everything other than that, I'd call scrambling or hiking. |

including both your crag instructors. It just takes forever and it doesn't
equalize well anyway. It's something nice to learn and practice though.
If you can't find 3 good pieces to build a good anchor when you are free
climbing, you are certainly not climbing at the same level as I do and this
discussion is totally out of question.

c*******r 发帖数: 13580 | 11 If you end up doing multi pitch trad route, investing $30 on another device
is no big deal considerng how much you spend on the rack. ATC is the most
versatile device and I truely believe it should be on the rack of every
climber: alpine, cragger, or sport.
When I climb trad multi pitch, I exclusively belay with a petzl reverso 3,
and use autolock 90% of the time.
When I climb alpine rock, I always use an ATC.
When I climb at a sport crag, I usually bring an ATC and a Grigri.

By leading sport 5.11 and trad 5.9 you can have (some) fun in most climbing
