The colonists spent the first winter living onboard the Mayflower. Only 53
passengers and half the crew survived. Women were particularly hard hit; of
the 19 women who had boarded the Mayflower, only five survived the cold New
England winter, confined to the ship where disease and cold were rampant.
The Mayflower sailed back to England in April 1621, and once the group moved

The common belief in the west is that Haiti as a country was cursed long
time ago when the slaves rose to rebellion against their colonist masters

Both recognize Tibet as part of China. Of course they change
their opinion after commies taking over China. But our territory

Tibet as a country has never been generally recognized by any major country.

如果你是一个受过基本教育的白人,你会为你的祖先而自豪吗? 我想,我会。
三百年来,他们为后代子孙开疆拓土,科技文化引领世界,军事冲突所向披靡。很多人
说,这种用暴力为后代获得的生存空间,有什么值得鼓吹的,我认为这种政治正确性只
存在于言辞中的白人和自我安慰的少数族裔 !
一百多年的文化积累,让很多东西深入骨髓。 你不可能期望这种优越感,以及由此衍
生的一个群体对其他群体的偏见突然消失。其实今天它们仍来无处不在,存在在好莱坞

昨天白天一天还算平静,但等这些人回家后,就陡起波澜。我本来是打算回我的小房间
里睡的,但是,我一直记得上星期六的场景,心中阴影挥之不去。就是我先生和孩子从
外边转了一圈回来后,然后我先生又突然出去了,一直到晚上7点半也没有回来,而且
我知道回来和出去的不是同一个人,加上又听见嗒嗒的声音。一直萦绕在我脑海里的就
是孩子问我:“爸爸呢”,我随口回答“出去了”。 后来,我打了一个电话,先生很
快就回来了,但显然又换人了。因为每天人都换来换去,所以我不太清楚发生了什么,
再加上我不知道这些人的身份,除了对他们有一份关注,我也做不了什么。但如果我的
感觉和推测准确的话,那天有人遇难了。我特别担心的是那个问我“爸爸呢”那个孩子
,因为他的声音我觉得有一点象我的儿子。我不知道他怎样了。如果我当时感觉疑惑的
时候,立即告诉这个孩子,他是不是就可以救爸爸或者有机会逃跑。我不知道,我不知
道是不是我的儿子已经遇难了。
不管是我先生,还是孩子遇难,我都已经有了心理准备。只要他们在这个环境,在这个
