A week or two single digit days in a typical winter. But it is different
year by year.
Driving is Okay on major roads unless major winter storms hit. (when many
people will just stay inside any way)
Chinese population is not big comparing to big cities, typical mid-sized US

从Detroit 到PVD 已经是接近傍晚了。我们这一组人带头大哥人物（老8）和学生会联
系过。当时的学生会主席CZQ 带了一些老生，大部分开着二手车来热心的接机。Brown
的这个传统真的很好，给新来的new comer 接机和安排临时住所。给大家带来了极大的
方便。
此后几年我也秉承传统，开着我的二手车去接新生 和 看新生mm。此后若干年，我看到
学生会作的越来越好。
那日接我的就是az和她的收电费工人，至今十分感谢。当晚送到crazyman 家临时住，
直到我找到房子。那晚crayman 带我去XWF 家吃的面条之类的晚饭，填补我的肚子。
zhizunbao 本来和crazyman是roomate，后来zhizunbao sublease 给一个美国人大概。
我去时，zhizunbao不在了。我住在客厅。有一个pullout sofa。可以当bed。房子是
hope 和Thayer 的交接处，离hope high school 不远。
由于前几天没有倒过时差。早上起的很早。附近要比北京三环，四环绿多了。很安静，
也很干净。PVD 应该是比较富于New England |

上节写键哥，这节写学生会。
布朗的学生会还真是不错。刚开始来的时候帮助大家联系老生从TFGreen 接机，后又帮
助安排住宿。给new comer带来不少方便。以后他们有活动我也去当个volunteer 秉承
传统。zhizhunbao是2001年学生会的骨干成员吧，和zhizhunbao 以前交往不多。踢过
几次足球。zhizhunbao很nice。当时私下里大家想怎么给他找个女朋友，把他给处理掉
。新学期开学后不久就是10.1国庆和中秋。学生会组织一次迎新BBQ，当年在colt
state park。 以后好像连续好多年都在同一个地方。 BBQ上可以结识平时不常见的高
年级的师兄师姐。铁锅或者food truck 的老板娘C也是01年学生会骨干。BBQ上热情组
织活动，忙来忙去。还跟大家说以后买菜可以找她帮忙什么的。有一次我买菜找不到别
人还真麻烦她一次专门带我去walmart，shaws 买东西。十分感谢。有一次她家请客聚
餐，我离的比较近也被邀请了。带了一盘我拿手的土豆丝。 C当时赞不觉口，说怎么这
么好吃。 后来得知我放了味精之后说了一句话，我到现在还记得： “味 |
