million dollars) compensation to Nikon as a result of the patent
infringement case for lenses with VR technology that was filed back in 2011.
The lawsuit was based on six Sigma lenses with image stabilization
technology. Initially Nikon was looking for a compensations of 12 billion
yen (around 116 million dollars).

我读书的时候还是蛮辛苦的，有时候做作业和project要到一两点，BLaw老师上课从来
不写板书，我每次都要整理我自己的笔记到12点。日子过得虽然辛苦的，但也还是很充
实和令人怀念的。
至于后悔吗，我真的有些后悔。我想我当初应该take Finance program offer, 或者去
读一个统计学，或者晚点出来能够申请MBA什么的。当时年纪小，不懂什么是Finance/
MBA.
现实中的accounting 都是奔波于monthly closing deadline, 10Q,10K，new
accounting pronouncements, tie-outs, recons....尽量保证数据的准确性. MD&A 那
么多info又有多少人真正用到呢？有时候觉得辛辛苦苦做出来的东西大家觉得没太多价
值还是很沮丧的。
最后谈谈compensation (我果然是个俗人啊）。其实国内Big4's compensation 水平比
美国Big4's compensation 好很多，当然也更辛苦了。我在美国这里做 |

首先你人最好在纽约或者波士顿地区，在申请Fund的时候已经有了绿卡或EAD卡，不需
要H1B sponsorship。好的投资公司是不会考虑sponsorship 的。在这里我也想对打算
读Master of Accounting的同学说一句，选学校的时候，最重要的是要去大城市，什么
学校的好坏，专业的排名都是虚的，BIG 4 的campus 招人都是就近原则，谁还高兴跑
到外州的学校去？！ 纽约的好几个很一般的学校每年都有大批的人进BIG 4,因为需求
太大机会多啊。
其次最好有一些和Financial Services 相关的经验，例如在某个BIG 4 做Financial
Service Group（FSG）的Auditing or Tax。如果你做的是普通行业的auditing or tax
，可以先内部transfer 到FSG。最近NYC 地区的BIG 4 的FSG 的turn over 很高，有很
多opening, 内部transfer应该不难。在FSG 混1～2年就可以跳到FUND 里做了。

如果只用两种颜色，我就用这两个，因为不需要做compensation.死细胞可以用DAPI 但
是PE, APC不适合在显微镜下面看，因为photobleach很快。但是非常适合于流式，因为
信噪比高。
如果是3种颜色我会再选A594或者A555,因为激发光不同，不需要compensation.
因为compensation永远都会导致信号的损失。
另外还看看你们实验室的仪器是不是有这么多laser. |

资体制那么不一样？ 常规的解释是基于observability of action. 大概意思就如你所
说，蓝领的工作是perfectly observable, 所以compensation is based on their
action, 工作越多工资越多。CEO的action不容易观测，很多工作是在office hour之外
完成的，所以只能求其次，compensation is based on their observable outcome.
我的解释是基于risk-sharing. ceo, researcher or investment banker的工作风险比
较大，对企业影响也大，所以企业为了和他们share risk,最好是compensate them on
their outcome,instead of their action, even if their actions are perfectly
observable.

我是看看别人在这么思考这个问题。
像我问的这2个问题，ic(t) 前面有人提到的slides就有数学讨论。那结果是给出一个式
子。 - i should have read it through and found it out.
第2个compensator的application notes, 我之前读过，也用它算过。但那不解决我这个
current mode的问题，因为这是voltage mode compensation. (其实我也不知道这个co
mpensator这么重要。是，没它可能不稳定，current mode的buck还有就是不需要compe
nsator的。
voltage mode多用pid compensation, current mode可能用pi就够了。
不过这些都不是point, you know those much better than me.
