发帖数: 1347 | 9 首先，诸位华人高手对围棋的热情给我深刻的印象，他们每天几个小时的比赛下完，坐
在一起的时候谈得还是棋；这让我这个等Go Congress到了家门口（1.5小时车程）才参
加，下完棋就抛到脑后的人深叹不如。
这次照例很多日本老头老太来，羽根泰正一家子来了--女儿，儿媳（就是直树的老婆）
和三个孙女，三个小女孩头一天穿一身和服打扮得花似的。在星期五晚上大盘讲解时我
拍的羽根一家：
非亚裔的美国人也很多，有些一看就是一家子一起来，比如Sacramento的Burrall一家
来了五六口人，我对他们家家长的那盘棋是赢得最轻松的（但他们家最强的不是家长）
。会场一角：
左面前两桌是一对本地出产的中美混血3~4d双胞胎，后面一桌是日本棋院官员/翻译（
3k）对小孩。
星期五晚上大盘实况讲解杨慧人对Eric Lui的NAIM决赛，由羽根主讲，我当时gin and
tonic喝多了，棋没有仔细看明白，好像一直很接近很微妙的样子，最后小Lui还想粘劫
收后死撑，但劫材也不够，输了3点。
最后说说我的情况：
US Open里在5d左右那个档次混了个四胜二负，结果可以满意。

发帖数: 662 | 10 AGA把报名费涨到350了。这我记得以前都是250, 如果最后你晚报名，
会变成300, 然后最多350. 现在是从350开始，最多500.
那学校的破旧学生宿舍，一天要6，70块，也不知道脑子是怎么想的。
这么高收费的一个比赛，却没有多少奖金，很多来的人都是小孩，难怪
成年人高手都不太去了，搭上一个星期时间，花许多钱，一旦输一盘，
很可能就要跟下面调剂上来的小孩下，实在是没意思。这之中葛永飞是
个异类，每年都乐此不疲。:-)
按说Open应该对下面的棋手封闭。这样才可以保证比赛的质量。否则，
就会出现前年Danny几乎一直在前几台把所有高手碰了个遍，最后3胜
3败没有名次，但是有小孩也不知道赢了什么烂人居然有4胜在他前面。
收取的钱，如果不是被AGA的人在别处花了，就是拿去请一些职业棋手
来给做讲座。比如在Go Congress, 就有这样的安排。但是讲那些初级
的东西，何必花那么多钱呢。随便找个比较本格派的5段足够了。可惜
美国人迷信段位证书。
以AGA这样组织比赛，怎么能不江河日下。 |

今天是周六的早上， US OPEN还有最后一盘棋，不过我目前的战绩是2胜3败，没有任何
得奖的希望。当然最后一盘也可以放松来下了。
这是我第四次的GO Congress，还是延续以前西岸攻略的疲势。不过在master上还是有
突破。
总体而言，新一批的小朋友都厉害起来了，还有中国来比赛旅游的高手越来越多。OPEN
比赛也越来越难打。 |
