接着八这个命。。。
大卫叔叔在西雅图没能爽太久，因为罩着他的咯噔大叔跳槽了（太不讲义气了！），大
卫叔叔少了这顶保护伞，结果可想而知。当时大卫叔叔正在为DEC的新机型Prism开发一
个全新的操作系统Mica，于是先是砍功能和改要求，然后就是彻底取消了Prism项目，
皮之不存，毛将焉附？新机型都没有了，为这个机型设计的操作系统自然更加完蛋。于
是大卫叔叔遭遇了他人生第一次re-org。
Re-org对于底下的小兵来讲还算不痛不痒，对于项目的头头来讲，那可真是痛过切肤之
痛。虽然大卫叔叔仍旧可以领他二十多万的年薪（八十年代的二十多万呀！），住他在
华盛顿湖边两个多米粒的豪宅，大卫叔叔还是痛苦地把自己喝得醉熏熏，在宣布队伍解
散的消息时，大卫叔叔哭鼻子了。这是大卫叔叔成年以来的第一次哭鼻子，也是唯一一
次哭鼻子。。。
当时，大卫叔叔的办公室里比尔大叔的办公室大概有4-5个英里吧，不知道是不是大卫
叔叔哭得太响亮了，反正他哭鼻子的事让比尔大叔知道了，敏锐的比尔大叔从大卫叔叔
的哭中看到了机会。。。

围棋是“完全信息博弈”（局面摆明，理论上有确定结论）游戏里最复杂的一个，又很
有艺术性。在围棋上战胜人类，就实现了Deepmind负责人哈萨比斯的说法，机器自我对
弈不断自我学习的方法可以解决一切基于推理的棋类游戏。

总体印象就是收获很大，不虚此行。挺想明年继续参加他们HLM的workshop.:)
Dave Kenny真的很牛啊，好像没有不会用的统计软件，除了SAS不太熟外。
Dyadic Data Analysis教的主要是用SPSS的mixed models(multi-level) 和AMOS (SEM)
学校附近有个还不错的中国餐馆，连着在那里吃了四天。
住的地方shabby了点，dorm居然还用上下铺，碰了好几次头，faint.
参加workshop的人都不错，TA们都很PP，Dave Kenny 和 Bill Cook
都很nice，总之没有什么负面的感觉。唯一的建议就是因为参加的人
有不同的需要，能cover的information有限，一定要跟他们
schedule individual meeting。恩，就这样。 |

枪，在野外作战的游戏。由于子弹是一种涂着颜色的小塑料球包着一些液体，打到物体
就爆开，液体流出来，因此这种游戏被称为PAINTBALL。
游戏场所是在过了机场的LEDUC附近的一片丛林中，被塑料网拦住的地区为作战区，网外
则是安全区。首先大家在安全区内集合，每个人自己去交款买子弹，可付现金、信用卡
或现金卡，一般都是每人交40元买500发子弹，因为有很多场游戏，子弹少了不够用。买
完子弹去领制服和手套，有不同的尺寸可选。接着是安全培训，有专人跟大家讲解游戏
规则、面罩和枪的使用方法、以及安全注意事项。然后大家就可以排队领枪和面罩了。
在安全区内，所有的枪必须锁住保险，枪口还要插带颜色的塞子。只有进入作战区才可
以打开保险并拔掉塞子，而且在作战区的任何时间和地点，所有人员都不得取下面罩。
我们报名的23人，被裁判分成两队，颈子上套绳圈的为一队，没有套绳圈的为另一队，
每一队他们安排了一个裁判。
游戏分很多场，第一场是两队人全副武装在100米开外面对面端枪站着，每队选一个指挥

最近突然想到加拿大歌手dave carroll维权的例子，我们也可以借用。他乘坐美联航时
吉他被损坏，多次向美联航反应，没有结果。于是他将此事写成歌曲united breaks
guitar，在itunes和YouTube上发布，导致美联航股票大跌，最后不得不向dave正式道
歉。最后还把这首歌作为内部员工培训的内容。
不知道有没有做音乐的朋友可以来做一下类似的工作。ABC的母公司disney-ABC的母公

发帖数: 4164 | 39 说起演唱会，前些时候我还上了一小当。网上看到个什么注册，可以得两张本地某音乐
厅的演唱会门票，溜了一眼，schedule上好乐队不少啊，Gun N Rose, Led Zeppelin,
Dave Matthew Band等等，就去注册了。拿到code去换门票的时候才发现，全是些山寨
乐队，我看走眼了，原来是Gun 4 Rose, Led 2 Zeppelin, Dave Matthew Tribute
Band等等，呵呵。不过据说这些乐队仿得也像模像样的，有空去看看 |
