1994年recentering以前的SAT数学比现在难很多。降低数学的难度后，相对会令更多的
女生和非亚裔（其实主要是华裔和印度裔）更容易被录取。
亚裔的录取比率在Harvard等学校迅速增加到20-22%左右以后（期间包括华裔学生的指
控http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jian_Li），SAT增加了写作一项。因为东亚裔的传统优势在于数学而语言能力相对较差，写作更差。所以增加写作就是为了压低亚裔的录取率。这点连美国白人为主的博客(isteve blog)都讨论过无数次。至于有意录取亚裔女生而控制亚裔男生数目的做法很可能也存在，但绝不会有人敢承认，也绝不会公开在录取guideline里。
其实，东亚人种数学能力里远超其余种族的是spatial reasoning ability,就是比如六

Main reason: When the reverse engineer project run into difficulties, the
team can point to the foreign version and say, there is nothing wrong with
the design. When a domestic designed project run into difficulties, they
don't have such a crutch, so their claim that there are no fundamental
