I have a question from work. We received about $300k as matching money from
a company to support one grant which totals about $5000k from a government
agency. I think the $300K received up front should be assigned to deferred
income since no actities have occurred, but my boss put it to regular
contribution income. I'm confused. Does my boss follow GAAP's matching
principle? Please help. Thanks! |

current 引起的,即使是第二年reverse, 也得是non current的.比如常见的

income and thus their taxes... so if they could recognize a revenue over a
number of years, then they will avoid paying a large amount of taxes at
once... thus smoothing out their operating results.

so they don't give a damn about your accrual or deferral method of revenue
recognition. They use cash method so once you get paid from client, you
pay tax on it. As to the company, since it only recognizes tax expense
according to its current-period financial results, IRS' cash-method rule
won't really affect its operating results. The difference is what they call
deferred tax asset. The smoothing thing is thus irrelevant.

开始工作了还有多少机会能有3个月空闲呢？
如果毕业能找到工作，如果被defer，如果身份问题能找到解决方案，那我应该会抓住
这个机会出去转转。 |

我的情况是这样，eb1b绿卡在申请中，因为牵扯到贷款和以后找工作的身份问题，没有
绿卡我不会去LS的，今年开学前反正肯定是拿不到了。
以后如果拿到了，有可能会去读，但是不是100%确定。
如果放弃这个admission对下次申请没有影响的话，我就等拿到绿卡后再申请一次好了
，不然交了deposit下一年还去不了的话，就打水漂了。 |

当然defer要交手续费，好像是$150，这个钱是不退的。
defer不如请律师之处是defer以后一年之内不能再吃ticket，
不然这张ticket的钱还要重新罚。请律师的话如果能dismiss，就什么事都没了。
另外7年内只能有一次defer机会，而且不是所有case都能申请defer，
比如school zone，work zone内吃的ticket就不能defer等等，
具体都有哪些限制不太清楚，恐怕你得自己作作research。
但你这罚款不多，建议方便的话就选contested hearing，
无论是否请律师，最坏情况也就是输掉官司，全额交罚款，也没多少钱。
选mitigation hearing的话，即便能减免一些，也不会太多，
而且同样也要去法庭，意义不大。 |

so was not drafted. There has been conjecture about how induction was

1，选3，然后官司打赢，ticket自然免了。
2，选2或者3（但官司打输了），然后当庭申请defer，
未来的12个月内如果没再吃ticket，这张ticket就免了。
defer费用$150 non refundable，另外每7年才能用一次defer。
如果12个月内再吃ticket，这张ticket还会生效，进record并且交全额罚款。
另外defer有一些限制，比如school zone吃的ticket不能用defer等等。
3，如果选2，但不想出庭，可以选择“written response”，
把你的defer request附在信中即可。选3其实也可以不出庭，
但是那样官司赢面很小，不值得。 |

给出的Option是：

2，Mitigation Hearing，上庭解释，而且这次违规会有记录。
3，Contested Hearing，就是不认罪，上庭。
我的驾驶记录很好，从来没有记过点，上一次吃罚单是在两年半以前，后来上了
Traffic School。
我的希望是：
1，不要留下坏记录。我以前在加州是要求上Traffic School，不知道华盛顿州可以不
可以？
2，如果不可以，不认罪的胜算有多大？
3，交钱越少越好，不过这个不是很重要。

等到时退休了，搬到一个没有州税的地方去
那tax-defer 401的优势就大多了
简而言之
在州税低的地方工作，就用Roth 401;
在州税高的地方工作，就用taxed-defer 401

我想分析一下主要的Bear Case
1）增长低于预期，DAU增长过缓，游戏粘性不足。

注意一个人玩两个游戏算成是2个DAU,不同平台玩一个游戏也是2个DAU。也就是说虽然
游戏title增加了，但是DAU增长并不是很乐观。MUU的增加主要是由于新用户的增加，
