就6月5日这个时间来看，正好是63军转入2线阵地进行机动防御的日子。有可能志司发
现继续硬顶有把63军迅速拼光的危险。而且63军的损失可能已经到了很难硬拼下去的时
候（估计全军也就剩几千战斗兵了）。
不过diminish 似乎应对译为减弱，而非消失。63军虽然是转入了机动防御，但是毕竟

遇到这本中学生读物前已经好久没有投缘的书进账了。Gandhi：Fighter without a
Sword是儿子从学校的免费书堆里淘回来的，书页枯黄如古籍状。书于1950年出版–那
时甘地被刺刚刚两年–次年获得美国少年图书最高奖的「银牌」Newbury Honor。作者
是美国颇有名气的儿童读物作家Jeanette Eaton。看来这书在美国读者不少–儿子拿到
的这本是1970年第十四次印刷。儿子读了书，写进读书日志里。老师在日志的Gandhi一
词旁边批：「One of my favorites!」
几年前看过得奥斯卡奖的电影《甘地》。那时很受震撼，连看两遍。后来跟一个从印度

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A congressional panel has voted to subpoena former Sen.
Jon Corzine to testify next Thursday about his role leading MF Global, a
brokerage firm that collapsed this fall after a disastrous bet on European
debt.
