hypothesis是否成立还重要, 但做这个发现的过程还是hypothesis driven的.
比如你拿一个化合物去看看对细胞生长的影响, 这么简单的一个想法, 就有假设在里面
, 可能你没有意识到.
所以hypothesis driven基本上是所有科学的underline的方法, 要注意做实验的目的是
test, 而不是prove or fit the hypothesis. 上次那个帖子说到hypothesis driven
的问题, 其实是很多人不去test. |

达尔文是先有进化理论假说再去采集data，还是先有data再去总结提炼假说或理论？
看paper里一篇一篇讲自己怎么由过往literature导出某hypothesis，然后做试验证实
自己假说。我估计至少一半都是扯淡，为写paper不得不装一装。很多paper都是从无意
发现的一个现象展开的，也有很多从貌似有理的假说开始，却发现了意外结果，再从意
外结果展开的，只不过写paper时不会那么写那么讲给编辑和读者。
当然，不否认hypothesis在展开研究中的重要地位，但张口就说“生物学是hypothesis
driven的”实在令人难以苟同。hypothesis driven只是多种研究方法的一种罢了。 |

困惑，人家一开口总是问你的hypothesis是什么，当时觉得有点怪异，后来也习惯了。
现在看来，面对生物体这么复杂的一个体系，hypothesis driven本身并没错，错的是
很多人甚至是绝大多数人把hypothesis当教条，一切都要迎合hypothesis。在FAQ看来
，hypothesis driven里的hypothesis只能做为探索的一个starting point，在探索过
程中必须适时修正、有时候甚至需要推倒重来。如果脑子里把hypothesis当成圣经里的
教条，那生物学自然就成了神学。遗憾的是现实中绝大多数人确实把hypothesis当圣经

标 题: 讲讲我自己遭遇的United霸道的经历吧！

当年也是半年内两次飞中美航线都被United霸道对待过。本来之前都是以United为主，
后来就不坐它了。
两次事件都是我和老婆带着不满周岁的女儿，这是背景。
事件一
也是发生在芝加哥机场。从国内飞芝加哥转机boston。boston那几天正大雪，基本处于
大雪的尾声。然后芝加哥机场直接说飞不了，这也可以理解，但是人家把我们的机票改
签到了3天后！由于天气原因也只是给我们推荐了个酒店（报美联航倒是有折扣价），
自己和酒店联系bus来机场接，美联航概不负责！
我也是去找United的工作人员，晓之以情动之以礼，比如带着4个月大的孩子很艰苦之
类，能否改签早一点的航班。人家United的人总之答复起来首先态度让你觉得很蛮横，
然后就是，全部停飞3天，没法提前！
