发帖数: 349 | 15 三年前我听了reduced form方面的顶尖人物david card的一个讲座，他当时就说要认真
对待structural的东西，据我在berkeley做博士后的同学讲，他们也开始做一些
structural的东西。和我同一届的两个同学做labor都很好，但是做structural的就进
了top 30，做reduced form的上了两次市场后去了欧洲，辗转才回到北美。从就业市场
的角度讲，做applied micro+reduced form econometrics确实很多。
还有一个朋友在top5的商学院，他说在operation research方面structural的东西现在
开始得到很多关注。
在宏观方面，structural econometrics的东西还是经常能看到的的，只不过在应用中
存在很多问题。
至于heckman，他一直强烈反对过度依赖IV一类的reduced form方法，强调经济学模型
的作用。Victor Aguirregabiria的那篇Econometrica就是被支持structural
econometrics的大牛邀请去发表的。

It ays that econometrics is by no means the same as economic statistics.
And it gives out the definition of econometrics later on the same page:
Econometrics is the field of economics that concerns itself with the
application of mathematical statistics and the tools of statistical inference
to the empirical measurement of relationships postulated by economic theory.
This definition still gives me the feeling that econometrics is economic
statistics. maybe |

我倒是认为一些新鲜的别人没想到过idea挺有意思的，而评判一篇paper的好坏也不能光
凭idea，还要具体看用的什么研究方法。比如说econometrics有什么漏洞，这些漏洞是
不是对结果会有关键的影响之类的。一般好文章都会把自己的局限性也讨论一下，所以
看的时候不能断章取义就说别人不好。还是应该用科学的态度，批判地接受，呵呵。 |
