How about English? Here is an example:
I shot an elephant wearing my pajamas.
Did I use gun to shoot an elephant?
Did I wear my pajamas or did the elephant wearing my pajamas?
Or did I use camera to shoot an elephant?
Actually here you can apply some logic and get the most plausible
explanation that I am wearing my pajamas since elephant can't fit in my
pajamas and I am more likely use camera to shoot a wild animal than to kill
it because of the law.

常有名的童书作家。
Eric的书非常适合这个年龄段的孩子。
我给丫头讲过了42本Eric的书。丫头有30本左右是能自己读下来。
说说这个作者书的特点
1：图画大而鲜明，你会发现孩子的观察力是何其的强大
2：句型简单重复性强，所以孩子能掌握很多句型，同时不会影响孩子对图像的观察。

如果光是protobuf serialize/deserialize， 这个没问题， 我可以查hasField
但是我们又有个elephant bird 把这些protobuf变成PIG， 好像用了elephant后，
dump出来的field， 如果没set的话， 就dump 出default value which is 0.0。 所以

书馆容易找。从我个人经验而言，给孩子看是么书，怎么给孩子读书，怎么了解孩子的
喜好，对于做父母的来说，都是一个学习的过程。我一开始给孩子借书看没有做过任何
research，去了图书馆就瞎看一通，随便借一些回去，这是非常耗时间的，可能很多妈
妈和我有同感。用许三多从A到Z的看也不切合实际。所以经过一些无序以后，慢慢地就
形成了一种有序。我觉得我还需要有一种方式来选书。
如何找书：让孩子找。God，她去图书馆给我抱来一大推，从各个角落书架。至少
，对我家孩子她还做不到找到她喜欢看的书。
那么选书是家长的事情了。对我来说，参考有同龄孩子家长的推荐是省心最容易的
开始。可是我稀里糊涂忘了有个网络，就一头冲图书馆去了。
现在给孩子看的书多了，也算有点小经验了，自己也理出点思路了。
最主要的是孩子的书还是要适合孩子的年龄，给孩子读看不适合的书，我想会扼杀
了孩子的兴趣。
前面MM18妹妹写了个她如何给孩子选择书。我也再罗嗦两句。

上周趁着自己有假，带着LD进行了为期7天的自驾游，准确的说只玩了6天，最后一天全

中间我帮忙不少. 小男孩自己很顺利就读完了, 我还问人家"What does this book
talk about?" 小男孩立马就绘声绘色地开始review了, 语言组织能力之强, 和美国人
做presentation 一样, 1,2,3, 转折衔接很自然,三言两语就把故事给review完了, 又
生动又简练还突出了重点.
再瞧瞧自家儿子,无论是用中文还是用英文, 都是啃吃啃吃, 里面无数个然后或者and

又臭又长, 人物背景通通模糊, 听得人稀里糊涂. 这差的可不是一点半点啊.

而这一切要拜中国新富阶层不断上涨的象牙需求所赐。
据伦敦的非政府组织环境调查机构(Environmental Investigation Agency)的统计，中
国的象牙价格已从2008年每公斤157美元飙升至2011年每公斤7,000美元，从中可以看出
中国对象牙的旺盛需求。据其它研究者和非政府组织的估计，中国的象牙价格最低也在
每公斤300美元和750美元之间，即使按照这个数字，也说明中国的象牙价格在三年时间
里至少涨了一倍。
由于很多象牙贸易属违法活动，因此很难得到有关象牙贸易活跃程度的官方数据。据《
濒危野生动植物种国际贸易公约》(Convention on International Trade in
Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora，简称：Cites)发布的报告，2009年至
2011年6月，中国内地和香港查获了四大批货物，缴获非法象牙6,500多公斤。
这份报告说，中国已超过日本，成为世界上非法象牙产品最大的消费市场。

古代的非洲象有两种："forest elephants"(Loxodonta africana
cyclotis)，来自红海一带和阿特拉斯山地区的森林中，体格
比印度象小，可以被驯服，现在这种象已经几乎绝灭了。另
一种，我们现在看见的非洲象，所谓"bush elephants"(Loxod
onta africana)，在古代是没有发现的。托勒密王国和迦太基
由于离印度象产地较远，在军队中主要使用非洲象。在使用
方面，印度象可以背一个象夫(mahout）和一个象轿(howdah)，
在轿里面可以坐一些箭手和标枪手之类，而非洲象由于体格

宝宝。带上了帽帽，就不会搞错了吧。
第一套衣服是GAP，丫丫NJ的表姨妈送的，帽子是同事送的。丫丫姥姥把一个帽边往上
一缝，真是神气了一节。
第二套衣服是丫丫奶奶在国内买的les elephant牌，真的很好，样子，质地，设计都很
棒。帽子是在BRU买的。
第三套衣服是也丫丫奶奶在国内买的les elephant牌。丫丫还有一套les elephant的小
公鸡的图案的衣服，也很好看，也很凉快。帽子是朋友送的。 大家要想看，我回头奔

发帖数: 18578 | 33 这么感人？叫什么名字，有时间观摩一下。不过我相信有类似的原型，大部分妈妈可以做到为自己的孩子死，相比起来，爸爸就差远了。
母爱是最伟大的，我个人的观点，如果对爱护养育自己的母亲没有感恩之心的话，觉得
是理所当然，枉生为人。
上个月陪儿子去看了一部Imax的纪录片Born to Be Wild,里面提到了一头小象，因为妈妈
被偷猎者射杀，没有奶喝，身边都是些叔叔伯伯的公象，没法给他喂奶。看样子时间长
了小象肯定就挺不下去了，然后大象保护地的工作人员开着几辆吉普车，高速冲上去大
按喇叭，把其他公象驱散，然后把惊恐的小象打麻醉剂装到保护地好好养起来。
里面提到有一句话让我眼睛一湿，就是This will only work for bulls (male
elephants), the female elephants will fight to the end to protect the baby
elephant. |

发帖数: 344 | 36 June 29: 我们一共去个三个state parks 外加一个historic site. 所以只能走马观花
. 印象最好的是ELEPHANT ROCKS公园 (附照片). 来参观的人也比较多. 很多是有孩子
的家庭. 爬到山顶,俯瞰四野,儿子给的评价是: 密苏里比我们想象的要高. 反而,作为
密州第一高峰的TAUM SAUK没有给我们这样的感觉 (附在山顶了望塔的照片),可能是周
围太平坦了.也许是因为我们最后去的TAUM SAUK,一路上都是盘山公路把人给饶得烦了(
照片). 另外一个公园JOHNSON'S SHUT-IN 因为2005年的洪水现在只是部分开放.
我们走的是MO 旅游部门推荐的"一箱油"路线,实际上,有大半箱油就差不多了.所有的门
票都免费.可以说是开销不大,收获不小.不过不要对第一高峰抱太高的期望. 如果只能
去一个公园,我推荐: elephant rocks state park. 适合于家庭或者同学周末聚会野餐
,另外,距离ELEPHANT ROCKS 很近的Ford Davidson 博物馆虽然不大,可以去看看电影,
听听解说,了解一些美国南北战争的历 |

在Moab住的第三个也是最后一个晚上了，从旅馆出发沿着191往南去同属于Canyonlands
NP的The Needles。今天去的部分和前两天去的分列在科罗拉多河的两岸，回忆了一下
，应该是昨晚在Moab主街的北端过的河。出发的早，太阳还被前面的山挡着，真冷，车
两侧挂满了霜；不过等太阳一跳出来，就得赶紧戴墨镜了。这一段191左侧的山景还不
错，路边有几个观景点我们都没有停。看到一块大岩壁上三个大大的红字：Rock N
Hotel，（窑洞？）车过的时候瞅了瞅，山洞倒是看到了，旅馆不知所踪。沿路还看到
了些拱门。右边有一条岔路是去The needles overlook的，犹豫了一下没走，怕跟
Delicate Arch的overlook一样要望远镜才能看清。向右拐上去公园的岔路后还要开半

总是既缺时间又缺money, 不过在五月下旬还是最终决定去一趟。去掉两头乘机时间，
自己驾车大约11天半，从三藩出发转一圈回来，行程约4700miles。 路线是： SFO ->
金门大桥&花街&渔人码头 -> 加州1号路(Monterey-Cambria) -> Sequoia & Kings
canyon -> Yosemite NP & Mono lake -> Lassen volcanic NP -> Redwood NP ->
Lava beds NM -> Crater lake NP -> Portland (Cannon beach & Columbia river
Gorge) -> Mt rainier NP -> Olympic NP -> North cascades NP -> Florence sand

她的名字会有大量的比基尼美图), 到我的办公室, 说邀请我玩游戏. 英语是 White
Elephant Exchange. 从来没有听说过white elephant这个词, 马上把比基尼美图窗口
关了, 谷歌翻译查 white elephant, 白象，没有什么特殊含义. 我猜可能是最近流行
的象拔蚌. 象拔蚌就是白白的.
交换象拔蚌是什么游戏? 女秘书说什么, 每个人轮流起来, 把象拔蚌拿出来和展示给大
家看. 还 blah blah blah 说很多其它的, 我在跟实习生小美女做眼神交流, 没听进去.
另外觉得奇怪，问为什么两个人来邀请我, 女秘说人力资源通知她们不要单独到我办公
室. 这家公司对我挺好的, 还专门派两个美女来邀请我. |
