1，北大基金会有资金运作的部门。北美基金会有投资委员会。在稳健的基础上争取收
益。
2，目前，学校发展很快，各方面的资金缺口很大，基金会的筹款额虽然这几年大幅增
加，很多钱都是来了就花，能停留的不多。
3，美国著名大学都大额的endowment，每年的投资收益很高。我们这个方面还很少。很
多资金是制定用途动本的。我们现在也在努力推进不动本的endowment，包括科研基金
、讲座教授等等。也有一些成绩。这个方面的力度会不断加大，这样才能保证学校的长
期发展。

THE END OF THE FISCAL YEAR.发现有的学校用的事GASB，有的用的是FASB。想请教一
下本版专业人士， TOTAL EXPENSE和VALUE OF ENDOWMENT AT THE END OF THE FISCAL
YEAR 在这两种会计标准中是否是一样的呢？如果不一样的话，有什么联系呢？有没有

另外我不知道你这个所谓绝对的自由从何说起，NIBS有理事会 有学术委员会，北大清
华也有各自的学院学术委员会 校学术委员会。从招聘到晋升都是要有程序要走，由委
员会批准才行的。当然你可以说作为头头他们几个招人的权利比较大，然而美国学校系
主任在招聘过程中的分量就不大么？而且这个权力说到头 无非是系里自主掌握的钱怎
么分配给新PI的权力而已，只不过美国这个钱八成是overhead或者endowment来的，国
内可能就是各种各样的经费分配方式来的，你这个“自由度和...随行全世界找不到其
他”是从何说起？难道美国一个院系想招人，还得去问问NIH/NSF批准不批准这个研究

意思是这个教授席位是某个人捐的。所以就以其命名。 中文有时称作讲
座教授。就像MIT商学院叫sloan是斯隆基金会还是斯隆这个人捐的一样。
一般捐这么一个教授席位要很多钱（可能上百万），我想大概包括薪水
和funding。被授予endowed chair的教授也都是大牛。不但意味着金钱，
也是学校中所能授予的最高的荣誉。你将来有钱了也可以捐一个vieplivee
professor of math什么的。 |

an arrangement by Yale to have Zhang manages that money, but I don't think
his investment experience qualifies him as an PM according to industry
standard. Either he is really impressive as a person, or there is some
behind the door arrangement.

这工资是多少呢？从下面的截图证据，可以知道，是年薪2.3万美元。猛一看可能感觉
不多，可要是按当时的汇率1:6.85折算成人民币的话就是15.7万元。也就是说，“贵族
犯人”刘晓波坐牢的月薪是人民币1.3万元。照这个数，要说他是“美分”那可真是侮
辱了他，因为人家是以万为单位计算报酬的。月薪一万三，即便是放到北上广这种一线
城市也算是高薪了。何况这钱来的这么容易，只要动动嘴动动笔，高喊两声口号骂骂政

发帖数: 9671 | 45 多年来，中国经济跨越了一个又一个的里程碑：全球最大的汽车市场；全球最大的能源
消费国；头号出口国和全球领先的制造大国。
但是眼下，中国可能濒于严重衰退的边缘：中国领导人和商业银行正在紧缩过去几年制
造了一个又一个资产泡沫的体系中的流动性。这不可避免地会波及中国股市，令中国股
市在投资者眼中不如几年前那样具有吸引力。
投资银行家出身的哥伦比亚大学商学院教授贝姆（David Beim）说，当然在过去这些国
家增长速度很快，但这样的增速迟早会放缓。30年是一段很长的时间。
在一篇重要的新论文《中国增长的未来》（The Future of Chinese Growth）中，贝姆
认为中国经济的高速增长无法持续。贝姆说从上世纪50年代中期到70年代中期，日本也
经历过高达两位数的经济增长时期，但后来增长逐渐放缓，到了80年代中期增长率只剩
下5%至7%。中国的增长相当强劲，但并不惊人。韩国也有类似的发展路径。
但银行的“大量超额贷款”人为推高了日本的经济增长率，也造成了上世纪80年代末期
股票和房地产市场的巨大泡沫。当时日经综合指数几乎触及40,000点。而二十多年后的

标 题: 支持进化论证据太多了，科学和宗教的本质区别

看到前面一帖子，5岁孩子好奇人类的起源，妈妈说不清楚，然后有些回帖质疑进化论。
忍不住另外开一贴说几句，
对生物起源等问题保持open的态度和好奇心是好事，对孩子也确实不必要一味地灌输知
识和结论，而是应该启发他们思考。
以上都是科学的态度, 科学和宗教的根本区别就是，科学是不claim绝对真理的，科学
是不断前进发展的，人类的知识在科学证实的过程中日益壮大，科学在证伪的过程中比
以往任何时候都更接近真相，推陈出新。
持科学的态度去看待细节还没有被完全复现和解释的问题，比如生物起源，并不表示可
以无根据地虚无地对被广泛证实的进化论本身持怀疑态度。
那个帖子里面很多人都提到了，很多人初中生物没学明白，还没弄清楚进化论是什么，
就开始反对进化论。

行“被我们非正式称呼的六项保证”，强调六项保证其中最重要的一项，就是美国不会
在事前与中国正式或非正式讨论军售事宜。他说，美国在通知国会对台军售项目之后，
通过中国驻美大使张业遂告知中国政府这个军售决定，是美中之间关于这次对台军售的
首次接触。
