写下这篇，抛砖引玉。
因为工作在Cambridge, 孩子上小学，不想commute太远，最符合条件的是Belmont,
Newton Center。有时候也会留意一下West Newton离Franklin比较近的那些房子，因为
离90比较方便，其他方面的交通也很不错。没有考虑Lexington是因为不想为了把孩子

山看红叶。group里好几个康州同胞说要去；版上有兴趣的朋友也可以参加。Sleeping

exit gate is closed (down). So I assume one needs a ticket to get out.
For the Peavine Lot (the open air lot), the entrance gate is down but the
exit gate is up.
So, I gather one can take the entrance of the Peavine Deck and later exit at
the lot. So you are right, no need to get a ticket.
The Parking at Oxford Rd (the visitors lot) was open last Sat.
I checked all them all with my own eyes --- don't laught at me. |

can take either south or north entrance. $10 fee if you coming from south or

。之前研习了版上精华区诸多游记体会，对于我们第一次去登山的人，一天之内合理安

Mt. Rainier National Park有四个入口。
我们按大家最常建议走的路线出发（从Bellevue），从I-405 S用exit2A上167，走W-7
转706，可以直达Nisqually Enterance, 每辆车收费$15，7天内出入有效。一进入Park
，开过一片树林，是Nisqually river，有石滩木桥，水流很急，夏季河水浑黄，据说
冬季清澈，河边可以看见主峰。再走是去Longmire的分岔。继续朝NE开，是Christine
Falls，再往前是Ricksecker Point，这儿是个悬崖，景色开阔，很有气势。下来是

to snowmobiles and other equipement stuff. We XC skied 3-4 miles from W.
entrance into the park along a (?) river - super nice, just you and nature!
I was told that N. to E. entrance of YS NP is still open to cars but not
roads and W. and S. entrances. |

4天开了1800多迈，逛了5个国家公园，Yellowstone NP, Grand Teton NP, Arches NP,
Canyonlands NP and Bryce NP.
行程如下：
Day 0: 飞到Salt Lake City。
Day 1: Salt Lake City -> Yellowstone NP west entrance.
早上9点多出发，大概下午1点多达到，经madison后然后往南开赴Old Faithful，沿途
参观各景点及动物。到达Old Faithful的时候大概5点多，一场eruption刚结束，等了
将近1个钟头，看到了6点10分的那一场。（在information center有每天喷发的schedule,可以去确认。）然后开回west entrance，大概8点多的样子住进了靠近entrance 的Inn.
Day 2: Yellowstone NP -> Grand Teton NP -> Jackson Hole -> Logan -> Salt
Lake City
7点多起床，8点左右出发，去麦当劳吃 |

entrance离Homestead不远，就在Homestead订了前一天晚上的HOTEL。后来翻了翻精华
区，从
Homestead往南走main park rd可以一直到flamingo，而往西北走41号路有另外两个
entrance，可以到Shark Valley。这三个entrance彼此都不通就是说只能去一个。
在这个季节，到底是Shark Valley那边好玩还是Flamingo那边好玩呢？据说Shark
Valley那里鳄

royal palm的anhinga trail必去，鳄鱼和鸟基本上都只有这里能看见，然后可以参加
一个flamingo附近的ranger guided canoe tour,一般dry season每天有一次免费的，
要提前打电话去flamingo的ranger station问，注意，flamingo的收费项目反而大多比
较骗钱，基本上看不到任何野生动物的
shark valley入口进去的话，生态系统很单一，但是能够看到的鳄鱼和鸟类远远多于
homestead，尤其是鸟类，建议不要坐那个tram，因为最多的鳄鱼和鸟垒其实在入口附
近，可以慢慢的边走边看，鸟抓鱼什么的很有意思。从shark valley出来可以到旁边印
第安人小村庄去坐airboat，如果你没有坐过，估计会比较喜欢
你说的另外一个entrance不知道是不是指ten thousand islands，这个建议别去了，给
游船的人准备的 |

entrance of lassen is closer to everything. the northwest entrance close to
a lake, which is not that great. a lot of big people swam in that and
fishing over there and that's pretty much it.
i dont' recommend that lake at all.
just dont' think those lakes close to that entrance represent the park.
hahaha. or you will be extremely disappointed.

发帖数: 8078 | 38 探洞篇：Mammoth Cave是世界上已知最庞大的洞穴体系，洞内岩壁千奇百怪，路线错综
复杂。游客必须参团跟着导游游览，能玩历的路线也非常有限。有个别tour据说能到地
下暗河，我们没订到票，很遗憾。
我们上午去了new entrance，导游小姐是个大美女，说话的声音清亮婉尔，听起来十分
享受。这条线发现得晚，地形变化大，整条路线有近500阶台阶。因为是分段而行，而
且最后段Frozen Niagara还可以选择不下到底部，这样只有约400阶台阶。感觉这条线
难度适中，趣味性也较强，适合带孩子走。
下午，大宝宝自己跟团走trog，他几乎是那天最小的一个孩子，却是唯一的一个男孩。
最初集合的时候，他有些害怕，对即将参加的这个探险队既期盼又担心。面对着一群黏
着妈妈的女孩子，又不好意思黏我，只是不停的唠叨，要和我们一起去Historic，不要
走这条线。全队整理好装备后，2名导游就带着他们出发了，一名导游在前引路，一名
在后压阵（全部路线都是这样的）。
送走了大宝，我带着小宝游Historic。相比起New Entrance，这条线平淡了很多，而且

The other one was the deep depression he experienced after his break-up with Freud (several of Freud's former disciples committed suicide after such break-ups.)

Mountain in Maryland
Since it's pretty nearby and the trail is not that long, I was thinking of
meeting around 1 pm by the Orange Trail parking lot
Just a warning, the trail is a little tedious, not steep but lots of ups and
downs, so bring lots of water.
