faculty来说可以算是很牛B了，但是对于老方这种senior的已经搞了一辈子的人来说，
就只能算so so。不要说是院士，离aps fellow的级别也还差了不少。引用率最高的一
篇文章还是95年到了arizona之后跟老外合作的，被引118次，这也是方唯一一篇被引用
上百次的文章。可见方励之89之前确实没有做出过什么重要的工作，他的名声和地位绝
对是靠政治得来的，当然其中部分的也是80年在中国搞科普所得，必须承认科普工作也是
有重要的社会意义的。
(BTW，有人说你这个搜索未必完整。不错，确实不能保证100％毫无遗漏。但是我

确切地说,不是核辐射降低了雾点.这点是广泛的误解.

数学20年前是a类，现在介乎bc之间了。
cs 20年前也是a类，cs postdoc这个说法是非常近期才有的。
我刚想问楼主，从经济学角度，为什么a类一定会变成c类？
但是我绝对不同意 “随着文章质量的提高，一个学科会从a类变到c类”。
事实上，数学和cs的文章质量，20年来非但没有提高，还有不少倒退。
人经济啊统计啊之类的不发文章，不代表人不做文章。
只是人找工作的时候都是用working papers，还没发表而已。
主要原因是因为发表周期太长。
一般的cs journal需要review一到三年，平均两年。
数学和经济学也是。
所以数学简历上都是arxiv，少有已经发表的。
相对来说，生物发表周期是超级短的，特别是nature。
原因是生物审稿相对理论学科来说是非常草率的，
倒不是故意草率，而是真的没法check实验，所以nature/science重复率只有30%.
我经常听说不能重复同单位其他组结果的现象。
而数学cs econ stat这几个理论性的学科本质上都是数学，审稿可以一行一行看，

In other words, following equation is NOT true for double.
a*a*a*a = (a*a)*(a*a)
The rounding error could become significant enough that two will have
different results.
For the same reason, many compile optimizations are not performed for
equations involving double and floating. |
