烤箱煤气炉最近买了个三星的，GE的摸了一下没买，贵100刀。
选烤箱的时候，都是传统科技，没看出GE有啥优势，但一分钱一分货，
GE的皮厚些，舍得用料。不知道海尔会不会保留这风格。
所以GE的货不垃圾，GE的市场垃圾，最后低端市场都被韩国人拿走了
当时百思百就我1个穷人买低端的，周围坐下来谈的大款看的是1k以上的烤箱，

应变循环发动机核心机在2018年6月完成全部测试后，已正式移交到GE公司总部伊文戴
尔工厂。在完成了XA-100原型机全部元件设计工作后，已于2019年元月开始进行原型机
装配工作，如果一切顺利的话，预计将于2020年初开始发动机原型机飞行试验测试。
而目前F22战斗机（F119）,F-35战斗机（F-135）发动机最大的赢家——普惠公司研发
的另一种自适应变循环发动机验证机——XA1-01也将会抵达这里，接受军方的测试。与
全新研制的XA-100不同的是，由于普惠公司在美国ADVENT下一代航空发动机预研计划中
未能获胜，因此决定自筹资金投资变循环发动机研制，与GE公司竞争。
公开资料称，其自适应变循环发动机验证机基于F-135发动机的深度改型，并创新研究
了自适应涡轮和自适应风扇技术，还重新设计研究了F-135 发动机的高压涡轮叶片和热
障涂层，大幅提高该发动机的涡前温度。
据称XA-101创造了涡扇发动机最高工作温度记录，其涡轮进口温度高达2400K，比F-135

本来共和党的base 对比民主党的base就处于下风，但是Trump本人对阵希拉里是有很大
机会扭转劣势的，因为从各方面讲TRump就是希拉里的天敌，一物降一物。现在的所谓
poll全是假的，因为离GE太远， 到时候一场场辩论下来，希拉里的支持率绝对直线往
下掉
如果Trump能够尽快结束primary，并且认真准备GE,那么对阵希拉里将不是问题，希拉
里将会全面败北，中间选民将会大量投奔同样是中间派的Trump
但是现在的问题是，Trump深陷在primary中无法准备GE，而共和党体制派准备一直死磕
到夏天7月份GOP大会，那么Trump即使赢得提名，也将没有时间准备GE， 在这种情况下
我看是必输无疑。
至于kasich 的所谓领先poll结果，纯属智商测试题，谁信谁XX，呵呵，也不想想驼背
凭借哪一点来赢希拉里？ 一丁点优势都没有。 |

发帖数: 384 | 23 我最近和GE Aviation面了Boston 和Cincinnati. 两边都要给offer. 让我选一个。
最后说选Boston. 给了Staff engineer position 12万。
从投简历到offer整个过程历时五个月。中间有freeze。因为另一个offer也很好 就放
弃了ge. 奇怪的是 婉拒ge的offer 很难拒。
Boston和cincinnati 的经理都挽留。提出帮ld找工作以及work from home.
ge 的面试我做了presentation. 然后就是和三组manager各谈一小时。都是行为问题。
之后又安排和中层 还有executive engineer 谈了两次。
Ge 的过程太长 太拖沓。非常谨慎 不同级别的层层把关。走到最后也不容易。
往往candidate已经又别的offer了。 |

以他同时的gs 115 option看，ge应该上25木问题，

发帖数: 2869 | 29 GE曾经是美国企业的龙头老大，几乎涉足各个领域，尤其各种家用电器，但是近来发现
GE的产品质量相当的差。去年年初换的新的GE Water Heater，用了不到一年半，昨天
就发现洗澡没有热水了。
于是今天请了一天假约了原来换heater的师傅来检查。没想到师傅来了之后说GE已经不
做这种heater了。尽管有6年的warranty，但要联系GE去换parts要折腾很久，想想还是
先修再说否则这几天就没法在家洗澡了。约师傅来之前俺事先在youtube上查了如何修
water heater方面的录像，估计很可能是thermocouple cable 出了问题，于是在师傅
检查的时候问是否要换thermocouple，师傅说有70%的可能，如果换要收$90,万一换了
thermocouple还不能修好只收50 但现在不能马上换，因为他现在还有其他要紧的活去
做，必须马上离开，要到下午5点才能来（后来5点又打电话说要等明天才能来）
师傅离开后俺在家琢磨半天最后决定去homedepot买了thermocouple和一些扳手，按照

看最近的关于法国Alstom 准备卖电网和发电两大sector给GE， 只留Transportation
sector的新闻，合同其中就有一条，买去后不能裁人，可见工会力量有多强大。
法国政府也很牛，虽然Alstom是私营公司，得知消息后仍然大为光火，认为把自己蒙在
鼓里。得知Siemens也有意购买之后，立马勒令Alstom要考虑Siemens的意向，把最后敲
定日期延长几个星期，好给Siemens足够时间准备 Bid。感慨，都什么年月了，还整个

我一年前跳槽到GE，是美国这边的。之前在美国境内的几个大公司
工做了十年。并不觉得ge好。可以说GE管理混乱 薪水待遇也一般。
也不觉得Edison program能提供什么远大的前途。一直在底层熬的是大多数
所以楼主还是看自己到底要不要回国，到底想干吗。

学校：Gannon University 位置在Erie, PA
Department of Computer and Information Science
Master一年半到两年，学校不大，老师都很Nice。
导师专门负责GE的实习项目，每周可以在GE实习20小时，每小时20$，暑假应该可以做
到40小时。（F1学生工作的上限）
但是做这个GE项目没有tuition waiver，也就是学费要自己出。不过我觉得GE的机会和
经验是比较难得的。
要求：CS相关专业，如果本科不是CS，最好学过一些CS基础课，这个具体问题要具体分
析了。
关于Erie，城市不大，也不太小，中国人不算多，大多数都是GE的或者学校的老师。城
市在伊利湖边上，风景很美，在美国受自然灾害最少的城市排名中，列第二。（

除了GE在Connecticut 其它的地点都在纽约Manhattan
薪水上面PwC tax 69k， JP 65k + 10k sign on + year-end bonus, GE and Deloitte
一样都是57k. 不过我觉得GE是有谈价的空间的，我估计目前他们是match我big4 audit
的薪水。

boeing is not a good company but a Great company. Another former colleague,
an abc CFDer for ge, told me that ge is a good company. Ge employee will
enjoy 50% discount of many ge appliances. However ge has many CFDers working
in india. Those india CFDers can generate complicated meshes overnight upon
request. |
