we need to address that, there is 5% jobs require substantial knowledge in
chemical engineering, which would lead to specialists as I pointed out in an
earlier thread. Among all technical work, roughly 40% will be g&g related
(geophysics, geology, petrophysics, image interpretation etc.), 20% will be
drilling/completion and production, 40% will be reservoir engineering.

very difficult. This is absolutely not true. PE is the easiest one that
almost everyone in science and engineering majors can change to if people
are willing to, for example, ME, ChE, CE, EE, (Environmental Engr, Aarospace
Engr) ... geology (including geology, geophysics, petrophysics etc...),
hydrology, physics, math, CS and chemistry. The only major I am not too
positive is biology-related though.

背景介绍：小弟在美一所三流烂校读化学博士，已一年半。从本科读化学开始算起，迄
今已经八年“抗战”有余。
转行内因：对于基础科研的推动者仍膜拜之，但自认为的确不是基础科研那块料，自己
灌水也不行，亦无大兴趣。
转行外因：大伙儿都知道，就不再赘述。
本来想好了，转石油工程（原因有从众心理，看版上讨论很热烈）。但就在联系学校时
，所钟情学校中师兄师姐们说，今年无身份石工硕士找工形势艰难（普遍反馈）。博士
还行。但有奖博士我无大信心申到，而银子又只够cover无奖硕士。这让小弟实在难办。
忽有好友指明：地质硕士较好找。这行业未曾考虑过，有些措手不及。故想请教各位几
个问题：
1，无身份地质硕士近年来就业形势如何？
2，他们在公司具体干什么？粗看院系网站，地质可粗分地球物理（geophysics）和地
球化学(geochemistry)。地物貌似在石油公司里做地震波分析，modelling，等等，我
用外行话说，就是用地球物理手段找油；地化，貌似更多含有机地球化学，我看他们网
站，貌似是用GC-MS还有各种光谱等手段，分析从各地挖回来的矿品，一句话，用化学

标 题: 博士后真不是人干的活！

特别是俺这种国内（香港）来的博士。国内做的工作，美国牛一点的老板根本都看不上
。而贴广告招人的十有八九都tmd变态有问题。
博士毕业时好不容易找到个美国烂校博后机会，一做就是两年，啥苦都吃了，文章也发
了，但老板就是卡你不给推荐信。
心想跳离这个火坑，到别的牛点的实验室再弄1-2年博后增增值。结果发一圈求职还是
没人理（美国每年fresh PhD都大把的出，我这来美才一年多的博后又算啥呢）。好不
容易有个回复的，经过一番求爹爹告奶奶，绕开现任老板找齐推荐信，得了offer。现在稍
微一调查一打听，原来又是个招不到人的变态老板。
无间地狱啊
我这是不是吃错了药，走岔了路了？
好歹一作文章也6篇，二三作3篇了。这回国能搞个啥位置？

水，需要多少超高压的水泵及电将水雾化。估计一个三峡是不够的。
