我自己有博士学位，但是劝你不要盲目读博。
国内父母不了解美国的情况，他们还停留在本本主义，学历至上论。
其实美国读博，是个复杂的问题，以下逐条分析。
一. 为什么读博？
从最实际的角度出发，无非有3个原因，
1,工作需要博士学位。
比如教授，院士，科研杂志审稿人。学术圈子，博士头衔是必须的。但是也就仅仅限制于学术界。非学术是不需要的，比如公司，明确要求需要博士学位的工作极少。
2.为了EB1a，第一类优先绿卡，比普通绿卡快4到5年。
