是请了位Licensed Tax Grievance Consultant独家代办villiage的small court
appealing和town里的tax grievance filing，费用是减税成功后第一年减税金额的一
半. 4月份villiage appeal 的截止日前后，每次电话他们都告诉我没问题file了。前
几天交税的时候顺便问了一下villiage officer，才发现villiage根本没有收到我的
case。再去询问，那consultant才发觉他们漏掉了我的SCA，于是提出明年免费帮我准
备资料。问题是我是今年初买的房，价格低于local market average，明年的market
analysis很难象今年的HUD 一样有说服力；而且我买房后作了装修，新作appraisal的
估价会高很多，所以我明年减税的机会渺茫。现在consultant怎样做才能弥补我的损失
呢？ |

grievance都是有章程的，你反正tenure了，根本不用怕，怕的该是新系头。你先跟系
头发邮件，如果他改了，就算了，如果不改，肯定走grievance. 他的回邮和以前的课
程安排都可以当证据。
因为你们有工会，所以肯定有学校和工会的master agreement, 你仔细读读关于
overload和grievance的章节。也许可以把你以前overload的钱都补回来呢。 |

庭通知3月中旬出庭，在出庭前两天town里assessor与我达成和解，以我认定的
property value作为2013年（2014年纳税）的Assessed Value出具了stipulation of
settlement， 并在电话里说会几年之内不会调整AV。原以为如愿以偿，但是今早我收
到town里通知，2014年度的AV又调到以前的价位了，并且grievance day就在10天后。
去年我有做refinance时银行雇人做的assessment report所以grievance理由充分，但
是今年没有了。现在的感觉是被town里涮了，才两个多月AV就又回去了，这种在法庭备
案的和解协议就跟个juke一样，或许当初直接由法庭判决效果会好许多。 |

事情发展到这个阶段，我们做好走grievance procedure了，我和导师商量，我向学校
提出grievance procedure，而导师也以老师的名义向学校提出grievance procedure。
导师向老教授通报了与A会面的结果，老教授让我立即到他办公室，他给我签字。拿到
老教授的签字时，我恭恭敬敬的向他鞠了个躬。他安慰我说，不要急，会处理好的。
我到台湾老师办公室，向他报告事情的发展，他听了只摇头。台湾老师告诉我，他一直
不希望事情向politics方面发展，希望学术问题归于学术讨论。不过现在发展成这样了
，台湾老师要我也不要急，他告诉我他就是学校处理学生投诉的委员会的成员，如果真
走到要投诉的那一步，他会帮我的。我激动得不知道说什么才好。

，也说一下。先说非常同情LZ的遭遇，再就这个事情说看法。
1. 大家回帖说的一点没错，学校这个辞职的option就是拿人当傻子，系主任装作替你
着想，其实根本就是越早摆脱你他心里早轻松。千万别上当。当年我们也被offer了，
问了很多人，最后没辞还是延期一年，反正最后一年teaching混的去过就行了，其他啥
也不用干，非上课时间完全不需要去学校，工资不断，有个缓冲找工作，写proposal。
2. appeal找工会程序照走，但是心里不要抱太大希望，也没必要想着死磕。一开始肯
定心痛的不行，慢慢想开心里就接受了。系里没过，除非你和Dean有特殊交情，翻盘的
可能性很小。工会的职责是correct你tenure review过程中的 contractual error,就
是不符合工会合同的review程序。比如，决定的reviewer名单以后，应该是给你过目才
能正式request letter,系里是不是这么做的？系里没过，你应该立即被通知，然后有

昨天收到一封urgent email, 一个朋友说她全家在西班牙旅行被劫持了, 所有钱身份证
信用卡都米有了, 困在酒店. 需要$1700, 我昨天就通过WestUnion给她汇了$
700到西班牙, 她今天又说要$1200因为误了飞机.
我就开始觉得有问题, (关键是通过WestUnion没有汇成功, 否则更是损失惨重)
刚刚看到她fb page才发现她email被hack了, 现在人在西雅图.
不知道怎样把钱追回来呢? 去WestUnion取钱不是需要ID认证的吗?
