1970年代早期，多数中国科学家，在文化大革命中努力生存而无机会开展研究。两位年
轻的研究者屠呦呦和张亭栋，分别在发现抗疟新药青蒿素和揭示砒霜化学成分三氧化二
砷对白血病的治疗作用的过程中起了关键作用。回顾四十年前开始的历程，不乏曲折和
反讽。青蒿素工作源于中国帮助越南抵抗美国，三氧化二砷源于观察、验证和改进乡村
中医的实践。虽然他们的药物挽救了世界上很多生命，两位研究者迄今未获国内外充分
肯定，屠呦呦有争议、张亭栋基本默默无闻。相关的文献埋没于冷僻的杂志和一般不易

发帖数: 272 | 4 French cuisine 确实不喜欢放太多调料，法式的主要是靠wine, butter, lime/lemon
等调味，然后由经过不同方式烹饪出来的几个部分叠加出层次，最后汇总出来的。
意大利人比较喜欢各种 spice，美国的cajun food也很善于使用spice。Spices 是一个
欧美人使用 herb 的很好的例子，品种多样，味道特异。好的厨师一般对 spices 有比
较好的驾驭能力，知道怎么样混合适合哪种原料。
至于“鲜”这个概念，欧美的主要做法是用各种 stock，货真价实的用原料做出来的
stock 其实味道非常鲜，跟中国人的汤有异曲同工之妙。当然超市里卖的鸡精什么的大
部分是味精。
墨西哥人对各种 chili pepper很有研究，他们的chili有各种辣椒用不同方法做出来的
，味道差异很大。反之中国菜的辣似乎都是辣的一个味道。
地中海一带使用goat cheese和 olive 很多，个人真心喜欢各种olive。
以上仅举例说明欧美人并不是对于原料和herb一无所知，他们有很多中国人没有的东西
。各个菜系使用方法不同而已。 |

如果说中国最不缺的就是只会照程序做事没有创新能力的工匠，那确实一点都不缺。
不过连个像样的发动机都做不出来（应该说连拷贝GE和罗罗的旧产品都不太行），最缺
的还就是人才，当然不是普通人才，而是绝顶人才。至于称其为天才还是大师倒无所谓。
缺大师论是有一定道理的。朗道对天才的分级，每差一级的能力和成就是指数差别。

，朗道2.5级跟爱因斯坦0.5级的差别同样大。要说David也是有成就的常春藤名教授，

1/3 cup plus 2 tbsp water
3 1/2 cups unbleached flour
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
5 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
2 onions, roughly chopped(I used only half of an onion)
2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
plus extra to grease pan
1 egg,beaten

I know two millionaires' wives died a couple years ago of cancers. They
didn't hold long under US BEST care. One of the husband is a billionaire.
On the contrary, China is much better than US if you can get a good doctor
for two reasons:
1) there is not much regulation as US.
2) herbs can help patients recover faster.
That's why your mother is bringing herbs to us.

her body has to break down muscles to get energy source. It could be reason
that she gets thinner and thinner. If she still experiences polyuria,
polydipsia and muscle wasting, I will say her diabetes was not under control
at all.

placebo吃了。
国内有些东西实在太乱了，比如什么防辐射服，完全就是靠人们缺乏安全感的心理赚钱

料还不如喝加sugar的饮料（如果你不是糖妈），有几种甜味剂据说有致畸型的风险（
还没有证明），加sugar的饮料里，成分是sugar比high fructose syrup的要好，
fructose是很reactive的单糖，在体内可以形成致衰老致癌的物质。其实一些herb tea
,比如生姜根水，甘菊水对调节孕妇的胃口有好处，可以喝，不过有些herb tea不能喝

Fenugreek奶量才多了一些。 Fenugreek是纯herb，每天10颗总量6g才有效。也可以和
Blessed Thistle Herb 一起吃。维生素药店和amazon都有卖的。

这次说说双城校区东岸的一些餐馆。
先是中餐馆。东岸中餐馆有桥东楼，香港面家，九龙酒家，和耀记饭店。
桥东楼的菜属于香港菜系，也很美国化。没有优惠券。笔者觉得很少几种菜适合
中国人口味，咖喱虾仁还可以。香港面家也是香港人开的中餐馆，除了米粉、河粉、面
条之外，炒菜也不错，但价格不低，特别是海鲜。中国学生会（CSU）以前有九折卡，

Whisk together:
Olive oil + acid (lemon or lime juice, or vinegar) + mustard + salt
Peanut oil + soy sauce + sesame oil + rice wine vinegar
Coconut oil + lime zest and juice + hot sauce + salt
Buttermilk + herbs + mayo + lemon juice
Yogurt + mashed garlic + herbs + salt |

西红柿1-2个，切成糖拌柿子的块，
中国香菜一捆，
黄油 2 tsp，
lemon herb 1 tsp ,美国店有卖的一种调料，看起来像锯沫子。
盐 1/4 tsp,
蒜4瓣，切碎，
中火，锅里倒一点油，然后下黄油，等黄油化了，下三文鱼，加盐、lemon herb、蒜、
盐，翻个身。
加1/4 cup的水，加柿子和香菜，大火煮开，关小火，煮15分钟，汤变浓。出锅。
汤可以浇到饭上很好吃...
大华还有一种日本鳕鱼，大概7.99一磅，可以用来加cheese、葱、辣椒酱一起broil，
也很简单，考出来上面的鱼有cheese香、葱香、微辣，中间的鱼肉水嫩嫩的，俺家娃超
爱...
俺发现其实老美的不少做法也不错，很好吃，比中餐做法省事多了... |

天等着吃呢。
家里有个半大的还有个比较大的花盆，都是塑料的，有漏水的洞，是不是要尽快移过去？
另外还买了西红柿秧子，也不知道该怎么种，打算去gardening版补课，同时短平快地
请教下这里的网友。
哦，还打算种点herb，因为头脑发热买了个木头的三层花盆架子，只有种herb比较好看
，nnd，现在想起来真想抽自己，好贵的东西，而且要放阳台上跟一堆塑料瓶子纸盒子
花盆挤在一起了，还不如当初就全搞环保风呢。。。 |
