印度人之间由于语言宗教不同，派系复杂，歧视严重。美国IT业都被印度东南部两个邦
的人把持，只招自己人，不招外种族的人，甚至连其他地域族群的印度人也不招。让这
些人把持IT业，不但是白人，黑人，华人等所有族裔的灾难，也是绝大多数印度人（他
们那个特定小圈子的人除外）的灾难。
在这些印度人小圈子“团结”的表象背后，是各种肮脏的内幕。老印高管剥削下级印度
人，任意奴役侮辱，下级为了保住他们的工作，常常要向上级行贿。他们还开设很多咨
询公司（应该是ICC之流），滥用H1B名额，剥削压榨印度人。

这有点自己上了车就喊关门的感觉。我自己并没有抽签拿h1b和永住的问题，可是周围

恼。非法移民好多也是辛勤劳作的。anyway，好多人想当然的把自己当白人，恨不得把
其他人种都赶出去，这才是too young too simple吧？其实剥削你最多的是什么人呢？
我对Trump在华人上那么能圈粉很感兴趣，主流上媒体完全另一个模样。这是因为华人
上有些人对权力和金钱渴望而不可得吗？还是觉得被有钱有势的剥削理所当然，但是对
于让穷人有口饭有基本保障吃却怎么都看不过呢？
我对于那种把自己当白人搞种族歧视的看法不太能理解，因为一路过来我从来没有在学
习或工作上要因为aa和(除亚裔之外的)少数族裔竞争过，但常常能感觉到亚裔受到的玻
璃天花板的挤压和因为这种挤压造成的内部竞争。有同学在隔壁很好声好气的说了选

曼几何”还没有被发明。那么要很有效的描述和分析生命现象，目前几乎不可能。就算

小年轻确实不鸟老帮菜的过时技术，但那不是年龄歧视，而是有些技术确实过时。老树
结合新花成功的话，小年轻都认的。其实很多小年轻骨子里是 humble 的，当然取决于
具体个人以及公司文化环境。
倒是老旧公司 63 老帮菜，有些 pretend to be humble but underlying are
arrogant，不愿真诚地 open discuss 老树新花，有时让人感觉吃苍蝇。
小年轻玩 Hover board 是不会让 53 老帮菜霸王硬上别姬的，都是活人不是傻子。53

我觉得我的生活是这样：大部分时间都是在干很平庸的事，偶然随着机遇会接触到一些
比自己水平高很多的人，立刻会有这种highlight的感觉，不过确实是可遇不可求的。
另外，最近开车时老听到一首歌，反复唱着一句“Always stay humble and kind." 想
想我至今接触过的牛人，好像都有这两个特质。kind不用说了，humble并不一定是谦虚
，还包括随时都在学习，都在观察别人的优点。你可以说，他们都有这样的成就了，还
能保持这种心态不容易。从一方面，也许必须要有这种特质的人，才能达到那种成就。
你给我的感觉就是这样，版上还有多个我私下认识的ID也是这样。
至于这个学生自己，从来都不是牛逼哄哄那种，很有教养，考试交卷子也是比较晚的，
看得出在耐心检查思考（最早交的那几个没一个考好的）。 |

1. 名校PhD，presentation做的很好，但是栽在non-technical (behavior) 。GE非常
强调GE Value，说白了就是要表现出team work, humble，可惜在小组面试的时候，让
大多数面试官感觉出aggressive，尤其让HM觉得有点不可一世。我们面试的时候有意出
了一些困难的问题，只想得到一些humble的答案，例如，"sorry, I am not familiar
with xxx, I may need some time to catch up"。我们不指望fresh grad知道所有问
题的答案。可惜这个candidate，好几次打断问题，试图用自己的想法去解决。你们说
GRC NB轰轰也好，whatever，如果让你们和非常aggressive的人一起共事，我想你们也
不会愿意吧。此人我投了need further discussion票。
2. 名校PhD，presentation没参加。小组面试和上面一个例子截然相反，非常谦虚，也

不过也算是有收获，从对c++和java的极度皮毛到现在总算是可以说会用一点点了。

My personal plan is I will stay away from this guy if he is in. He is so
mean and despicable, no one can make a friend out of him.
Even if you are really good at some area, always be humble. Being humble
will make you look easygoing and bring you friends. |

我高中同学学什么的都有，在JHU做医学院的都有，也有在mcgill做生物faculty的，
靠， 人家看见我，感情都没遇到薛定谔，所以不知道什么叫humble。 |
